Anyone seen this anime? I just started watching the dub (rinkwolf's) of this one, didn't have any expectations as I had never heard of it before, but I"m lovin' it!
  2. hell, I feel for you, the bigger the drive the more of a shock it is when they fail, and they will fail - I have a few 1TB externals and i am using a "disk caddy" (dunno what you call them - a docking station that allows you to just drop loose sata drives in) for all my other loose drives. I have backed up all my anime, so if I loose a drive of TV Shows or movies its no great loss, as long as my anime is protected!
  3. I have been watching anime since the late '80's (or since I got onto the internet) I live in Africa, so TV was kinda limited to political crap and the only access I had to anime was the internet and @ 3kbs (dial up) it used to take for ever! I go through phases where I watch mainly movies, mainly TV or mainly Anime. When I am on the movie cycle this usually only last a couple of weeks, TV shows 3-6 months, but the anime cycle usually lasts for 1year+. I always come back to anime, it dominates my life and takes my breath away! There are a myriad of themes/genres that makes Anime acceptable to all ages, so do not get bowed by peer pressure - take some advice from Kagami (Otaku Teacher), and only do what you yearn to do! btw I'm in my 50's, and if anything I am a bigger fan of anime now that when I was younger
  4. Angel Cop - I have tried to watch it several times, but never get past the first episode. Bleach - watched the first 20 or so episodes, then realised that it was never gonna end - I hate these "Soap Opera" animes that go on and on and on and on.... same goes for Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ballzzz etc
  5. Dunno, maybe its luck of the draw - I had 2@3TB Seagates, and one freezes up for about 30secs every 10/15min, the other started to corrupt data so bad that it could not even be backed up! I used to do Data Recovery, and most (like 90%) of the drives that I received were Seagates, but I thought that this was because there are soo many Seagate drives out there. That being said I still have 3@ 1TB seagate drives that I have had since they first made them and they work perfectly!
  6. well I'm quite enjoying Gangsta, Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan (Sky Wizards Academy) and Kangoku Gakuen (Prison School), but Im going to have to give my vote to Kangoku Gakuen (Prison School)
  7. also try "Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom" - its no t new (2009?) but its really quite good

    Hello All

Thank you all for your kind words and welcome messages. Sorry it has been so long since my last visit, but i have been so busy at work - 12 hour days and almost 7 day week (ive had 2 days off in the last 5 weeks) - but its back to normal now (at least for the time being) I will certainly try "Darker than Black", thanks for the recommendation!
  10. I use Zoom Player free on my work/play computers - I like the whole interface of it. I use xbmc on my Htpc. codec pack used to be CCCP, but they stopped upgrading it - i now use Sharks codec pack. I have no issues with Playback
  11. I feel ya dude. Even with an S2, the battery drain is just crazy. That and I lost my damn charger, so I have to be near a pc to charge it up. i've got an S2 as well, and the battery lasts 2-3 days on mine
  12. I do not do the whole twitter/facebook thing - I use my computer for work. which I am passionate about. Now and again I find a forum that is nice, like this one. I stop to give my 2cents worth. having a thousand friends that i will never meet on facebook is not my cup of tea. Just like win 8 with its mobile phone interface - its not my cup of tea.
  13. i have a 10TB Seagate Nas, 3@ 3TB seagate externals, 4@1TB Transcend Externals(they use Seagate drives) 1@ 1TB portable LG drive, 2 PC's with 2TB internally in each of them, laptop with 1TB and about 10@250GB loose drives = over 30TB! I stopped backing up to DVD a long time ago. about 80% of this is work related I just got a 2TB second hand Toshiba (with a Seagate) drive in it verry cheap - so i now have well over 32TB!
  14. Thanks CardGames for the reccomendation - i am going to try the first couple of eps later - i dont read manga, so it does not bother me if it does differ
  15. A certain Magical Index quite good and not what i expected - I kept thinking of the TV series "Pushing Daisies" though and kept on half expecting him to have an "oops" moment when he touched something with his hand. lol
