    Wifi problem

Do you know what modem router you have (brand and model)? Either there will be a dedicated button on the device its self to switch off the 5Ghz radio. Alternatively, you will need to log into the device (by entering 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254 or 10.0.0.1 into a browsers URL bar) and turn off the 5Ghz radio in there - normally located under "Wireless" or "Wifi" sections. When ever you reboot it, your devices will latch on to the first wifi network that becomes available, regardless of speeds (this is also very dependant on the model of modem router). Remember I mentioned before and what you quoted, "5Ghz ... has a shorter range", hence why it's at 70%. Runs off a higher frequency so it gets filtered out a lot easier than the 2.4Ghz.

am I playing 10bit videos correctly?

lol, that's a catch-22. And they are unlikely to sell 10bit disks until 10-bit players become "the standard" (which is influenced by the availability of 10-bit disks). I think the bottom line is that the hardware needs to change first and then disks. At least it will be backwards compatible.

Not yet though right? Or are you saying it wont be the standard ever?

am I playing 10bit videos correctly?

That's just for compatibility reasons though. If every playback device had 10bit support, guaranteed BD's would be 10bit, 1) they would be able to fit a lot more on one disk and 2) the encoders would have one less thing to fix \o/

am I playing 10bit videos correctly?

No problem. Video playback comes down to what CPU/GPU hardware you have, as a higher bit depth takes a lot more resources to decode. You could playback a 16bit video if you really wanted to. The video file bit depth has more of an impact on the encoding outcome and quality/compression (10bit solves issues like banding). As far as I understand it when it comes to monitors, the difference between 8 bit and 10 bit versions would be negligible/not applicable as the only thing you are changing is the amount of available output colours.

Have a look at the line just below your 'D3D11 windowed (8bit)' which says 'h264,10 bit...' - which means the video is in fact a 10bit video. I'm pretty sure the '...windowed (8bit)' refers to the hardware aspect of the monitor.

    Wifi problem

You could turn off the 5Ghz wifi channel if you can play alright on the 2.4Ghz. 2.4Ghz will give you distance/stability but at a capped speed of around ~45mbps 5Ghz will give you the fastest speed possible (internet dependant) but has a shorter range.
  8. I usually start at the basics with 2 tools: 1) Crystal Disk Info: https://crystalmark.info/download/index-e.html • Simplest of SMART tests mainly just to make sure there is nothing wrong straight out of the box. 2) SeaTools for Windows: https://www.seagate.com/au/en/support/downloads/seatools/seatools-win-master/ • Short Drive Self Test - Makes the drive run a thorough the diagnostic routine that is built into the hard drive's firmware. • Short Generic - Similar to the above and tests various areas of the drive. There is also a Long Generic test which will read every sector of the drive if you really want to make sure. Full support article can be found here. Anything more than that is just paranoia IMO and would shorten the life span of the drive by testing it that thoroughly.

What display do you use to watch anime?

23' Asus VX238h 1ms screen over here. There is a generic LG 23' to the left of it and an HP 25' above it that I use as extra screen real estate (Discord, IRC, Aegisub etc). Been really impressed with the quality and dynamic range it has. Granted there probably is heaps of better ones out there now, but I'm happy with it until it dies.

I'm getting fed up with my PC

Hm, glad to hear you have at least found something promising. I didn't realize you had a wireless keyboard and mouse - I remember having a similar issue with my setup before on a wireless system but since switching to a wired keyboard and mouse, all has been well. Did it work after the longer sleep?? Also you should be able to press the power button to wake it...

I'm getting fed up with my PC

Hmm, yeah then I would look at the BIOS just to be sure. And maybe even trying a different sleeping mode for the CPU if you have the option.

I'm getting fed up with my PC

The fact that you switched OS's completely tells me it's not a software issue anymore, but rather hardware. I would have a look into your BIOS settings and check what the sleep status of the CPU is set to. Iirc there are 2 major options, s1 and s3 sleep modes. More here: https://www.pcworld.com/article/225833/Tweak_Your_Windows_PCs_Sleep_Mode.html Besides that, does the computer run okay when you're using it? I.e doesn't turn off randomly?

    Backup Software that runs checksums?

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with TeraCopy, but I use it for both work (countless hours transferring client data) and of course I use it for personal stuff at home. Haven't had any issues with it other than it occasionally freezing. Both Acronis and AOMEI don't have CRC checks like the OP asked for, so these wont suite. By any chance do you mean Macrium Reflect?? If so, then no, that also doesn't have CRC checking.

    Backup Software that runs checksums?

Nothing to be sorry for, both options will work, one just being less work with the same result. \o/

    Backup Software that runs checksums?

Oh, I understood from your first post that the files didn't have checksums in them... Heh. TBF, if you copy the files, you can just select all of them on the destination drive and open them with that Unicode RapidCRC programme. Just an extra step with that one after the initial copy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  16. Moodkiller

    Backup Software that runs checksums?

That will be a painfully exercise though. TeraCopy will do that anyways all without actually adding the CRC to the filename. Also, best to use the Unicode version of RapidCRC here: https://www.ov2.eu/programs/rapidcrc-unicode. That one hasn't been updated since 2005.

    Storage Solution's ?

Lol, this happened quite a while ago when the user base carried on rising. The build up was the noticeable slow down of ones download quota and speed. Most uploaders here have jumped ship to gdrive which for the end user is much better. Does have the options to import links/copy to your drive without taking up space on it. Paid accounts can be unlimited storage wise (the "limit" being 1EB according to GDrives file stream app) Haha! I don't know, I'm still calling a win with my 1 EB from GDrive over him - just because having that many physical drives and setting it up would be impractical... and expensive as heck. That sucks to hear. Well, I will chance my luck with the 4TB and 8TB I have just bought from Seagate... Interestingly enough, out of the 9-10 hard drives I have, the WD was the first one to report SMART errors. And just to spice things up, I grabbed a 5TB Toshiba 7200rpm drive seen as they were on special. WD has put me off with there different coloured drives. I don't know what parts they may interchange between all of them

    Backup Software that runs checksums?

Yup, this will do the trick for you: https://www.codesector.com/teracopy Note the first green tick mark, that will run a CRC check on the files being copied and then on the copied files

    Reactions are finally here.

Alright, thanks for the consideration. Found this render that has a forum feel to it: https://emojipedia-us.s3.amazonaws.com/thumbs/120/emoji-one/104/thumbs-up-sign_1f44d.png Used the background from the current like-heart reaction and made it into this: https://i.imgur.com/SR52GdO.png And adjusted the heart-reaction while I was at it: https://i.imgur.com/xbjdXVc.png

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Hmm, alright. Before I go hunting for icons and doing work that wont be used, what are your thoughts for swapping the heart icon (labeled "Like") for a thumbs up icon instead? Expanding on that suggestion, you could even leave the heart icon and re-label it as "Love it" or something similar. I.e. Have a thumbs-up-like reaction AND love-it-heart reaction.

    Reactions are finally here.

Do you have a list to choose from/any more you can add? Or are the ones that we currently have (Thanks, Haha, Confused and Sad) the only ones available. Judging by your "will require icons", I'm assuming the current ones are all we have...

    [Bug] Like/Reactions Broken

I am with you now!! Lol, algood. Thanks for explaining. I wonder when your 30 like limit doesn't apply anymore?? Stop working so hard and spend some more time here to level up!! \o/

    [Bug] Like/Reactions Broken

Fwiw, the "Confused" and "Sad" reactions are considered neutral and won't count towards the other person's reputation, I'm assuming this also doesn't count towards each user's allowed limit... More info can be found here:
  24. Update: Due to IRL things I haven't been able to work on current releases/ones I have planned. For which, I am sorry. Moody|Bot parsar, Bot and GDrive FTP have all be fixed with some redundancy put into place for 'next time'.

  25. Easiest place to post this right now,  but just FYI: Moody|Bot, XDCC parser (website) and all Google Drive uploads via FTP are down atm. Hopefully will get around to fixing this weekend.

@DabDeity710 As far as I can see all files are intact. So don't worry. :D

@DabDeity710- Well not down forever, just wasn't sure how long it would take to get things back up again. Content is all safe, the setup I have on MoodyBot only allows the data to travel one way. So the bot can't delete files basically.

Still have no idea what caused the spaz, but nothing was lost and measures have been put in place to turn everything back on once I click "reboot".
