  1. I brought this up in another thread, but I don't see it here.

    RahXephon

Fighting Robot style- Similar to Evangellion.

(I happen to think it's better)

It requires thought, it's not a mindless battle fest.

I'd also second GTO, funny, and thoughtfull at the same time.

    Let's see:

    Full Metal Panic (Seasons 1/2)

Fumoffu - related to FMP Hilariious, excellent dub

    Trigun

    Bamboo Blade

    School Rumble

    Kiddy Grade

    Ranma 1/2 - 1st season the best

    Vandread

Horizon in the middle of Nowhere

    A Certain Magical Index

    Blood+

    Martian Successor Nadesico

    Burst Angel

    Grenadier

    Panty & Stocking

    Samurai Girls

    Jubei-Chan The Ninja Girl

Jubei-Chan 2: The Counterattack of Siberia Yagyu

Ninja Nonsense: The Legend of Shinobu

  2. I know this series is a bit older now, but still one of my favs.

It's been accused of copying EVA, and I'll admit it follows a very similar theme.

However, this was how EVA should have been.

It's a bit confusing, however it DOES all make sense in the end, and it DOES wrap up nicely.

If you like this kind of series, check it out. The Animation is great.

  3. Thank you for the welcome!

You've watched every dubbed anime from '80s-'13 !!? That's amazing! Do you have any voice actors that you prefer? - But yeah, there are a lot of people who watch dubs here, so you're not alone!

Anyway, here is the standard "don't forget to read the rules and FAQ", and finally, Welcome!

    LOL.

I'm sure there's one or two that I've missed, but in all honeslty, I've watched at least 1 or 2 episodes of anime, almost every single day, since 2008!!

BTW, I'm over 30, I have a full time job, and STILL find time to watch anime.

  5. I'm probably in the minority.

I only watch dubs. I can't stand the sound of the male Japanese speaking voice., it sound rough and gratting to my ears.

What can I say, I'm a native English speaker, I prefer my own language.

    I love anime, however I'm NOT a Japan-Freak.

So why can I still watch Anime, well, to be blunt, because none of the characters look remotely Japanese, so when you put a dub on it, to me it fits.

In fact, out of the 100's of Anime I saw, I can't remember one that looked racially correct.

  6. Hi there. Found this forum, while looking for news on new dubbed Anime.

I'm from Canada and I'm a huge Anime fan.

In the last 4 years, I've probably watched every single dubbed anime, from the 80's to current.

Therein lies the problem for me at times. I "only" watch dubs.  Even bad ones, 'cause I get a laugh.

I don't do subs, because, well, If I want to read, I'll grab a manga.

Plus, English is my native language, so I prefer to hear things in English. (I find Male Japanese voices sound kind of annoying)

That's just me though, and I imagine it makes me unpopular with "True Anime Fans" That's cool, to each thier own.

I still consider myself an animie fan, and I think the fact I've watch'ed hundreds of series, supports that.

Things were pretty dead on the dub front for awhile, however I think it's turning around slowly, with Funimation/viz/Sentai all having new dubbed shows this year.

Looking forward to chatting with you guys!
