  1. So, you aren't human, are actually a killing machine hidden away by the government for years, and actually have invisible hands that screw things up from a distance?

If you dont expect an epically long awkward silence at this point, something is wrong.

Elfen lied's googly eyed moments as you put them were an attempt at showing that even mass muderers can be harmless in the right circumstances. It also goes further in the whole Innocence and redemption subplot, where she starts to hate herself for killing so many people.

And then theres the love story side. While a normal anime would just fanservice this away, it has him as the "I'm willing to be dismembered in a painful manner" determination guy chasing after her (rather than the standard squashed like a bug in 1 second).

I feel sorry if you didnt pick up on the subtext of elfen lied, especially when even the most docile moments stand the point of "Sometimes things can be normal, but it wont last"

    And it does not last.

More bloodshed, more nightmares, more humanity trying to squash yet another thing they are afraid of.

And in the end, she disappears, probably best she does to protect him.

Then someone else stops by, but they never know who.. HMMMMM.

  3. What I liked in the GTA series most was the sandboxing. If you really didnt want to do a mission straight away, you could screw around if you so wanted, with not a care in the world.

GTA4 giving you a phonecall from a random person to go do a menial task every 5 minutes, sort of ruined that.

While in san andreas you could go around knifing people, go sniping, fly around, float around or drive a host of cars, gta4 just had to try to change things, and make you feel like you still HAD to do something while you wanted to do nothing (quote my mate "piss off roman, I want to play on the swing")

Biggest complaint though, how the cars worked. I expected to be driving a Brick, not a slab of jelly. The cars were all way too floaty in controls.

One of the things I enjoy most about a racing game for example, is when you feel the weight of the car as the back end snaps back in after your drift.

    No such luxury in gta4.

IMO, the cars performed even less realistic in gta4. They were slow, they would slam the whole shell sideways on the lightest of turns, and they handled in general like someone left air bubbles in the power steering.

As for story, its fine and all, but most of us only did the story to get to more stuff to screw around with. Once you had the airport in the desert in SA, you were set. Completing the rest after that was just because you felt close enough.

  4. I do consider GTA4 as inferior as well.

The main problem they have is trying to make things too realistic, it seriously effects the fun level of a game.

Oh, and I would be willing to believe people liked it more, if I saw more REPLAY VALUE in it, and a little less blatant first DLC copy (Red dead Undead vs Ned's Zombie island)

Meh, in the end it all comes down to quantity vs quality as you said. Too bad they count quantity of pixels as more important over quality of gameplay nowadays.

  5. Normal.

For no other reason than KH1's 1st boss being impossible to me on proud mode (I can block, I can roll, but I cannot swing deflect!)

Btw, gave sephiroth the whole rapeola first try at like level 70 odd. You just have to keep on him constantly to win (sin...harvest SMACK TO THE FACE), and save your MP for heals (in fact, that strategy worked for nearly all of the game)

Oh and Fenrir ftw. Only thing that even compared to it was the Ultima Weapon+ I made when I got sick of trying to get jiminy's stuff done, and started screwing around with the new ARMAX I had got :P (post game completion tyvm!)

  6. KH2 made the series angled at the slightly older kids compared to the first. It had a darker image in general. Making a wiimote waggling version would be like suicide at this point.

As for Xbox, ever notice the whole quantity/quality thing Square Enix has going? Thats why xbox isnt going to get its hands on the franchises any time soon.

Death before classed as "Stock Keeping Unit"

  7. Valor form was great as it was just the go to version for most of the game

It also made you feel like Sora was channelling link when he turned blue or red, was sorta a funny thought.

I will say that the worst form was anti form sora. The stupid thing decided to show itself for the first time in that boss fight on pirates world, where you have to collect the things by attacking it. Sorta hard to do when you cant pick em up. (also the no heal is BS)

  8. Leave FF13 alone, it was an innovative genre idea, the Rail shooter cross rpg. - Rail RPG.

jokes (or is that seriousness) aside...

That 2010 fifa world cup that came in at 40th... sorta made me think they mustve only made about 40 games for the year. I've seen that in the bargain pile in almost every shop ive been to in the past month or so.

I also still dont get the fascination with red dead redemption. To me it feels like a stripped down GTA. Your horses are a restricted version of cars, The terrain is more boring (Whoever started this grit in gaming trend can burn in eternal hellfire), you have less guns, there are no boats (besides the stagecoach glitch, practically a raft then...) And of course you have no aircraft.

How does a fully stripped down game by all aspects, place at number one like that?

Especially when you consider things like black ops being one of the most downloaded games via torrents (them tracking that was illegal btw). It makes you start to think people buy these lists out all the time.

  9. I find the sacrifices just a little too slow to kill. the mission 24 method is practically the same, when you consider the guaranteed 6k vs the off chance 12k - plus its faster.

Its times like these I really used to enjoy using a gameshark. Crap that's doable easy, just really time consuming.

  10. Comparisons

    Both immune to bullets

    Both super strong

    Both shoot lasers and crap

Both have limited flight time in space

Only goku stands his ground from a gigantic explosion

    Only goku can freaking teleport

End all though, both need to breathe still, and if all else fails, goku can teleport them both into distant space, let go of superman, and then teleport back.

  11. If the past is any indicator to go by, a movie would be the best bet over a series.

But really, disney would have a whole host of problems with it, and the end result would it being a G rated adults at kids prices movie, and then little kids who have no idea about the games running around waving keyblades.

  12. Custom droid army arena

Use your funding to build all sorts of custom droids, make em fight each other in an arena setting.

The only limit to building them is funding, if all else fails, you can have one try hand to hand combat as well

Would really get out of hand when later on theres the choices between pretty much a bipedal tank, or a mess of weak little stock units, but all with big guns.

Winning/losing would net you money (yeah, tiny amount on losing) said money could be used to build more bots (I dont see people as ever losing money, free repairs/100% resell)

Realistically, there would be some sort of unit cap to prevent mega lag, and your parts could just be upgraded further (to a practical infinite) using your credits, on a direct scaling system (so that part doesnt have to be manual)

It could be extended further by allowing you to join in the fray as your loyal droids fight, leaving you in a similar way to armored core as you rip through enemy units, command your own, and gain xp to mod your own stats.

Ideally, it would be balanced so that the levels of your hero would directly connect to the credits, so if your hero was considered underpowered for that range, you would suffer a drop in credit gain, and a boost in xp gain.

The end result is hopefully a game where you have COMPLETE control of your robot army, from design to deployment - and a persistant "general" character to help you reach these means.

  13. Once their jinzo like effect were neutralized, and ra became the "sum of 3 summoned monsters attack", the cards were just another thing to nuke.

suppose that 3 monsters attack effect of ra makes it potentially very dangerous, especially when you consider that obelisk's 4000 can be overpowered by the use of a few choice traps/equips, and slifer needs infinite cards to really get powered up (and still have useable hand!)

So yeah, I hate going against Ra in most duels, just too much potential damage there.

Thats why house rules are always the best, change of heart+ sacrifice it to summon something of your own, that you get to keep. (Not sure if that is legal in officials, but my mates always used to do it)

  14. Ive tried a few of the grinding methods myself, but what do you like to do, and which would you suggest?

    1. Summon drop and deathspam the eden adamantoise.

    2. Repeat mission 24 and sell moonblossom seeds (works, but way too dull)

    3. Summon drop any turtle that can be, use vanille to keep a steady stream of poison, then use the 1 point move in gestalt mode (chaingun thing) to keep it dropped as the poison has time to work (most get it half hp with this method)

    4. Farm sacrifices for perfume drops

I have heard that there are other methods, such as one involving farming tetradic tiaras from somewhere - more details on that and any others would be awesome.

So like I asked, your favourite?

  15. If you dislike the products of fur, kill yourself.

Your ancestors required it to stay warm in the winter, so without it you would not exist.

That being said, fur should not be a fashion thing. If it is genuinely required to stay warm, and the animal is killed as humanely as possible, no problem there.

If it is killed so you can look like a glorified puffball, then theres a problem.

    Case example: Leather jacket.

Pros: saves against road rash, durable, treatable for waterproofing, usually lasts much longer than cotton/plastic counterpart.

Cons: An animal has to die

It all comes down to a few core morals choices.

Also, paint splashers are morons, they just wasted the fur, now more has to be made, bravo, you killed another animal yourself.
