  1. Ah, not a bad rig you have there.

    My behemoth:

Case: Antec DF-85 (something we share!)

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-UD3

    Proccessor: Phenom II 1055th (2.8X6)

Ram: 2X 1600mhz ripjaws, 1X older 1333 (yeah, keeping the other 2 underclocked I still get a minimal performance rise)

CPU cooler: Noctua NH-D14 (Quieter than a h100/h80 etc, they have noisy pumps, this thing's all heatsink)

    Video Card: XFX Radeon 6850

    PSU: Enermax Revo85+ 1250w

    Harddrives

    500gb barracuda

    1tb WD green

    1.5tb WD Green

    3X2tb WD Green

Gotta say, you did a pretty decent job, but the cooler's probs not the best choice.

While water coolers are supposed to be quiet, the pump alone pushes all the hydro series into the too noisy levels, and even the antec Kuhlers do not fare much better.

If dead set on silent cooling, mega heatsinks are the way to go, the noctua for example has its fans on low even in the summery weather and it just works great.

  2. Light blue, and they look really passive

Wierd thing though is when I'm stressed for a while, I seem to get the effect of central heterochromia and an orange tinge seeps out into the iris.

I've been both complimented on them for being cute and told they look scary (when I was mad) odd stuffs.

  3. To kill, is to end an aware life.

What you seem to be on about is abortion, something which people always go completely black and white about.

One point that I find unarguable except by the idiots - If the brain has not yet developed a consciousness, it is not alive on its own and still just a part of the mother. Religions worldwide state consciousness, our mind, as the spark of life.

So until that spark is created, the lump of flesh is still equivalent to the period blood it would have been otherwise.

Most researchers agree that the rough time of this spark is 29-30 weeks in, when thalamus connections are being made.

  4. If you dont like it, you dont want it to happen again, so you are glad it's in the past.

If you do like it, you want it to happen again, so look forward to more in the future.

This also applies to the present, so its more or less an iron law, except for the masochist.

  5. 1 in 4 chance regardless of what the actual answer is, so 25%

This even accounts for the chance of 50% being a correct answer, as there is still only 1 choice

The answer changes, the fact you have one choice out of 4 does not, so its stuck at flat 25% chance.

  6. Ah, the age old puritan debate.

In reality, you are ready for alcohol at about the age of 8, in small amounts (1 glass of wine) with a sit down meal.

All the age restrictions really do, is create a social taboo in drinking underage, and thats why alcohol is more dangerous than it should be.

Im using 18, the Australian drinking age.

    Picture this:

Person A shared a beer with his dad at age 14, for his 16th birthday he was allowed a 6 pack.

He turns 18 and now being legal, works his way through about 8 drinks and stops because he knows he's hitting his limit.

Person B has never touched alcohol in their life, they are eager to try it ASAP when they turn 18. 12 cans in an hour later, he's in hospital.

It is ALWAYS the same story, people try to make out that it's bad to introduce young teens to alcohol. These are also the same people that say video games make people more violent.

This is despite several independant studies on both, showing that its all just pure BS.

So really, the legal drinking age should be removed, and PURCHASING alcohol should be left to people age 16+

This age limit for purchasing means that those with a learners permit, or starting to drive, are able to drink if they wish at will.

But being restricted to just purchasing, this allows the younger people to still have access to alcohol through parental supervision, the way it should be done.

Because in the end, if its "bad" they will want to do it more, especially the rotten eggs of the bunch.

  7. In my mind, parallel worlds would exist quite easily, and I find them to be an explanation for what creates our universe, and the heat death that eventually will destroy it.

With the conservation of energy, it all has to go somewhere, and if that means there are billions of parallel worlds slowly being drained of energy to make new ones, it is a good theory to have on the cyclical nature of time/space.

  8. Sorta have a few

Walking database nerd - many nights of random surfing leads to sudden word for word recalls of factoids

PC nerd - PC enthusiast badly, I even based my education around it

Anime nerd - What bought me here

90s nerd - I love my 90s toons/series, and think that most circa 2000 onwards stuff is crap

Music nerd - A bit of an audiophile, whenever not watching a vid there's always music in the background, have 7 macro keys on different playlists on this keyboard

  9. The feminists are just being highly sexist again.

Women are more dirty minded than men in most cases, they just dont vocalize their thoughts as much as men. Those are the words of many girls I know (the honest ones), that were in relationships, and not just the local sluts.

That being said, more women own sex toys than men, and subsequently there is a near equal amount on both sides that masturbate regulary.

As to porn, it does not ruin anything whatsoever.

What happens though is, like anything in life, there will always be the sad case that devotes their entire life to one task. Demonizing the entire group is sheer retardation.

    Examples of parallels:

All people playing GTA will be more violent

All people who carry knives are out to stab someone

    Get my point?

  10. Theres an old adage that goes "All women are prostitutes, in some way or another you are going to be paying for it"

This even holds true to girlfriends if you apply the "Time is money" thought.

So why not have it legal? Personally I wouldn't waste the cash when I have a hand available...

But, this is something that is said best by Butters Stotch of South Park colorado.

Butters: Kyle, every boy pay for kisses, do you know what i am saying? if you've got a girl and she's kissing you, sooner or later, you are paying for it. you gotta take her out to lunch, take to a movie, and then spend time listening to all her stupid problems. look, look at there, he's got to sit there and listen to her stupid motherfucking problems because she kisses him. If you ask me, that's a lot more than the $5 dollars my company charges

  11. Also seen Immoral Sisters, and apart from the horrible voice acting on the english version, I wasn't disturbed either.

I suppose it just depends on the severity really, it's hard to have an opinion on the concept of cuckolds, because in some cases it can be put in a positive light (such as a sexually frustrated wife seeking release elsewhere).

As long as its consensual, its all good though :P
