  1. Usually it's just addressing the "cartoons/anime are for kids" mentality.
To that I simply state "since when do kids shows have R rated gore?" and this mention of an R rating is enough to stimulate further conversation.

Then I usually point them towards elfen lied ep 1. What the F comments are common at this point but they're hooked.

As my co-worker would say, "there's no communication with people anymore, everything is done by email now".

"There's no communication with people anymore, everything is done by instant communication"

The kindest way to put this is that you sound like one of those people who posts those cartoons where kids are poking a book questioning what it is.
It's an ageist concept designed to relegate the younger generations communication methods as lesser of importance due to their speed and brevity.

If you question that statement, you will first have to ask yourself  how an email is not communication while postal mail is.

    Moving on, old world times:

Parents could actually be a parent and use classical conditioning on their child in public to approval of others (compared to now with the no smack laws)

I could go wherever I wanted, as long as I was back before dark (streetlights on)

We'd freely leave bicycles on our front lawn without them being stolen.

The biggest change Is not the PC, it is the cellphone. But that's not what's made it all different.

Population has been exploding in most of our more "developed" countries. With that anonymity became a factor, and opportunity based crimes went from "nah I know that guy" to "who the hell is that? F him it's mine"

The other thing of note is the value of honour. Back then your word meant something. Nowadays due to the anonymity factor we have tons of bold liars.

my method of trolling is a bit more advanced then that.  I enjoy writing programs that screw with people.  I play an online game called diablo 2 lod.  Items in game are highly valued.  So i have written scripts and programs to dump players gear and i pick it up.  I also have plugins that can ban the account by sending special packets are are ment to flag the account to the bcp servers or just have the program delete the accounts characters.  My favorite version of this program i made will encrypt all files on the computer and boot sector then destory decrypt key and force reboot.  I am working on more advanced methods of programming where if they load a debugger my program could detect and react to it but that is still years away :\

In my sig you can download 3 books on c programming / and c++ programming

that is the best way to troll people

That is not trolling. It is:
    -Violation of Blizzard's EULA
-Federal Cybercrime as defined as "criminal activities that specifically target a computer or network for damage or INFILTRATION"

-A cryptlocker style virus, which I cannot possibly post enough expletives to describe how stupid it is to make as they've taken down entire hospitals before resulting in loss of life.

-Debugger attempt is a worm style virus.

All of the above point me towards telling people that if koby were to take your information to the authorities, I believe there is still a standing 30k bounty on heads like yours which would solve server costs for a long time.

  4. Fair call, I assumed you meant PC for your watching.

The grace time in between episodes is usually good for a quick toilet trip/snack run for me, so I wonder if for keeping things original, you could set up a "skip these chapters" option in your media centre?

It might not be good for older h264 files, but if you're doing your own edits then I'd assume you're able to quickly punch a few of these in for end of intro (and possibly beginning of credits)

Alternatively, separate files in a subfolder for extras/previews. Sorry to press into this, I just feel that the original format should be preserved as much as possible.

  5. With the case of XSS attacks, it's direct malicious code injection and that opens up an interesting legal loophole.
Your computer has been attacked and files have been injected.

This is a federal crime (same as a virus maker) that can pop up the Exclusionary rule which is constitutional law.

But this also directly challenges the fourth amendment under :

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

It states that probable cause is NOT enough for a warrant, unless it has a description of exactly what is expected to be found and where.

Illegally obtained evidence is referred to as "evidence acquired by violating a person's constitutional protection against illegal searches and seizures; evidence obtained without a warrant or probable cause"

In this case, probable cause is a completely unknown and because the security of the hard drive has already been compromised, no files can be proven to belong to the user, nor can they be disproved as a plant.

TLDR> bill of rights says no.

  6. For some shows where it shares nothing, it isn't so bad doing this.
For others, there are often key differences, even scenes that plain don't pop up as they've been cut that may be seen within the small glimpse of the previews.

I think if you're binge watching that bad, what's the harm in clicking next ep?

  7. I believe swear words are filler words, that serve best in speech rather that written form, because the emphasis provides a lot of context.

    Example case:

Someone says "You staring at me?"

You reply "Fuck" - Regardless of above context, can be:

    -Sexual invitation with upwards inflection,

-Resignation to inevitable perceived conflict said long and drawn out

-Questioning when said quickly and in a higher pitch (more often with "da" in front)

The context can go in many directions beyond this, and I often find those who are so against swearing, are usually narcissists who have issues understanding these context cues.

Rather than admit a potential flaw in their self, they would rather relegate things they don't understand as "stupid" than to admit this lack of comprehension.

And so they label them words of ignorance, as that's all they have the capacity for. This is most clearly evidenced by the ones that show hostility at swear words in conversations they are not a part of.

The irony of this statement is that some of them will be offended, and in being offended confirm their own narcissism. Ain't it some beautiful shit?

  8. At a young age (below 10), teach them how to block. And then lead them onto how to counter hit following a block.

If you teach them how to punch people outright, they will punch people.

Nobody's kid is perfect, and maintaining calm focus during these years - it's plain not going to be 100% of the time (temper tantrums) and you'd be naive to think otherwise.

Now at a slightly older age or after a few too many fights (10+) then you can teach them about striking.

At this point they at least have the capacity to realize they will be creating trouble in an emotional state. They're concerned with their image.

They understand consequences fully enough to make a call that attacking is not a good idea to get what they want.

The easiest way to explain this is that anyone can throw a punch in anger, but it takes a calm mind to not be hurt yourself.

So you want to train this instinct, self preservation, with avoiding injury above disabling the attacker. To avoid injury you must remain calm.

And being calm is the essence of self defense.

  9. 12:00 on the dot is noon, but by the time we can conceive of it changing (less than a second) it's already after-noon.

So 12pm being 12:00 - don't think of it like that.

00:00 is midnight, 12am as the counter starts there. So it makes sense to have 12pm as noon as otherwise you'd have two different AM 12's

    I hope this helps

  10. While first choice would be sephiroth's masamune with alucard's anti freak guns a close second - superhuman strength is needed to wield.
So for actually usable - if ANY weapon, the huge tank from desert punk that's only defeated due to being outsmarted.
If handheld only, goku's power pole as it defies laws of physics and leverage is always an excellent strength multiplier

  11. Jiraiya should win it, but he will take a beating and a half still.

    Reasons:

    1. Knowledge of sealing jutsu, the Fire Sealing Method in particular IS effective against Amaterasu

    2. Jiraiya's earth release techniques (swamp of the underworld is a rather advanced one) are rather effective at "dusting up" the vision if used effectively. While this would be useless against a rinnegan or byakugan, it would be rather effective against the sharingan, and would be able to buy time at the least.

    3. He knows the stare at the feet trick.

The fight would likely end with Jiraiya taking a rather powerful blow to the stomach with a hidden kunai of Itachi's, which would be a trap with the needle hair thing shredding Itachi up.

"You saw through my shadow clones so I knew the only way to get you close enough *cough up blood* was to use myself as the bait"

    yup...

  12. Instructor:

So a visual example of love for a couple would be flowers

And an auditory example would be simply telling them you love them

    (breaks off)

Me: Wonder why you didnt give an example for Kinesthetic...

Mate:Glad he slept through it that time

    Girl: What do you mean?

    Me: That's strike 3 man...

    Mate: You were awake?

Other girl in room: Who me?

    Girl: Oh my god...

  13. Both of them have many many styles to consider, but I think I'll work off their main style, the one they keep going back to.

Jet li: wushu, PREFERS NON SPARRING ROLE - limited time activity

Jackie chan: Hapkido - Endurance/technique based style

I've looked up a fair bit, I think what would likely happen is that Jet li would have the initial edge due to youth and unpredictability, but less endurance than the chan man would lead to his ultimate downfall

Victor: Jackie Chan due to endurance based fighting styles. Wont be easy though.

  14. Anywhere within 2 years perfectly acceptable

After that it all comes into a very muddy system of defining what is and isn't okay.

In my eyes, love is love. And as long as both of you are ready for the repercussions of your actions, its fine.

Really though, 16 is old enough to make their own decisions about things, so good luck.

  15. Seeding is quite an issue for some.

Take myself for example, I have a limited upload of 0.5mb/s that is shared between 4 pcs and 3 laptops (and the neighbour leeching that for some inane reason I am not allowed to disable)

IF we could use a program to get it all working right though, that would be the likely best option.

I've had good experience with DC++ at lan events, may be worth looking into.
