  1. The difference between a feature and a gimmick is that a gimmick is a feature, just one that society deems doesn't work, or works badly, or doesn't provide any significant amount of value. It depends on the situation if we should label something a feature or gimmick first. Sometimes it's very obvious if something will or will not work. The touch pad on the back of the Vita was labeled a gimmick because we knew from the videos that there wouldn't be much use for it, and we were right(at least so far). The Wii motion controls were a feature since it sounded cool at first, but was then labeled a gimmick once we found out it wasn't 1:1. Now there's always a chance for redemption. Nintendo did so by releasing Wii Motion + that significantly enhanced the motion controls for the Wii Mote. Yes we should continue to use the term gimmick. It's a good way to call a company out when they try to make a quick profit by releasing something that's not good, but a gimmick.
  2. +2 = 432 Yeah I got it. At first I was highly against it since I hate EA/Origin. Then when I found they had Steam support I pitched in $1. Then when I found out it was ALL going to charity I beat the average.
  3. +2 = 430 I'm the only lo... Noooope. Not going there.
  4. +2 = 428 She was eating a lollipop and it fell on the ground. :<
  5. Finished Eureka Seven. Mah quick thoughts. Ah Eureka Seven. Was it any good? Yeah I suppose. Were there bad parts? Yeah tons. So let's start. This anime was long... I mean reeeeally long. I felt like it dragged on for quite some time. I also didn't like the "coming of age" aspects of it. Renton was annoying/useless for far too long; Holland was abusive/mean for far too long. Those 3 kids were the bane of my existence. With the added fillers they were able to solidify my negative connotation to the characters since they took so freaking long to "come of age". I mean for example there was probably a good month where each episode had Renton doing something, he messed up, and then got beat to a bloody pulp by Holland. It was like clockwork each time. Now the one redeeming moment of the anime was the Charles/Ray arc. I was really emotionally attached to that part of the series. Anyway back to the bad, the series was just downright confusing. Of course it started to make sense towards the end, but it wasn't really satisfying knowing nothing for literally a whole year. All in all I think they could have cut the series in half, so like 25 episodes. Have the period of time with immature Renton and abusive Holland lessened, and a more direct and clearer plot, and we have a AAA anime.
  6. Alright! So it's been a week. We going to do the shortened descriptions?
