Bunch of skipped shows this time as well. Either my interest in anime reduced, either shows I pick up is... bad: a) Kimi to Boku. 2/10. Dropped after couple of episodes and went through skipping process during all other episodes. Just too... weak. Animation was good, though neither characters, neither story were interesting. Well, I kinda felt like watching something yaoi related. It was just... painful. Sengoku Basara. 2/10. MTV has returned. No, really. During my watching time I always was thinking about MTV. Hell knows why. It felt like this was one big music clip. Action, nonsense, empty plot. The only good thing there was... c) Mind Game. 1/10. More "Mind F***" than "Mind Game" if you ask me. Through skipping process I realized some things: animations was bad, characters as well, story... Couldn't get it. Thought as I believe that what happens when you face death. Your mind goes crazy. d) "Kure-nai" OVAs. 3/10. Not related to series, so didn't interest me much. Skipped as well. Though animation and characters were good. Sadly story (or more like random happenings) was just some material for manga fans. As stand alone stuff it was just... boring. e) and some other shows which names I can't remember.

Current Anime Series You're Watching and your thoughts on it?
dudefromLT replied to Koby's topic in Anime District
"Yomigaeru Sora -Rescue Wings-". Thoughts: Hm... One episode yesterday. Was too sleepy to watch more. Well, not bad as for first episode. Kinda slow paste, but I like animation and story seems interesting. Somewhat more mature anime, that I recently watched. So maybe this show will not be bad. -
And how I could forget. Way too many series taking off my time. Before the last bunch of shows (or between them; can't remember now) finished "Natsume Yuujinchou Shi". Fourth season of "Natsume". Rather averagely good show. Good as all other previous seasons of "Natsume", but and as all other seasons was lacking... something. Can't say for sure: maybe not enough romantic moments between main hero and some gorgeous lady, maybe story just dragged too long without any climax point. Either way skipped some parts, some parts watched with utmost interest. So 7/10.

Current Anime Series You're Watching and your thoughts on it?
dudefromLT replied to Koby's topic in Anime District
Currently wasting my evenings on "Kimi to Boku". Well, at least I did that yesterday. Sadly only first episode. It was too late to continue other. But judging by first impression it was not bad. Not good, but watchable. Like 6.5/10. Maybe. Well, story seems kinda boring, but school life interest me more or less, characters not bad, animation good. Though I kinda feel that these series will lack ladies in it. Well, I hope I'm wrong as it would be... sad. Either way will continue this show and see how things will develop. -
Bunch of shows again: Mahou Sensei Negima OVAs and movie: 3/10. Dunno, but I kinda disliked it. Didn't feel that shiver (if you could call it like that) which was felt watching TV series. I liked animation (and in OVAs and in movie), the same goes for chat=characters, but story... It fu**** up everything. No real continuation with series, skipped many details (like in movie; some chapters from manga was showed in splash seconds and then main story progressed). Well, "confusing" is easiest way to put it. I disliked it. Sadly, but it really disappointed me. Showa Monogatari: 4/10. Nothing good. main minus goes for... Hell knows what. It was just boring. At first I kinda liked it, but after second episodes I was forcing myself to watch it. Well, my "will to force myself" disappeared after third episode, so didn't continue any further. Animation wasn't impressive either, though characters kind good. But sadly not my cup of tea. Neon Genesis Evangelion movies. Man, oh man. What can I say. I was DISAPPOINTED. Much. I kinda knew that it was like recap of series, so I was not expecting something new, something unseen, but still. First movie was skipped entirely. No disappointment here as I knew that it was a TOTAL recap of some part of series, with just improved visuals. What saddened me the most was the second one. I kinda expected it to be more... original, and not going the same way as series did. First minutes of it was like: "Oh fuck! That is so cool!" But then I was like:"Oh fuck! That is so... boring!" We have the same storyline, with just same changes and one new (very hot) character, and, of course cool visuals. But that's that. Nothing more. And ending... I knew that it will be with cliffhanger, so I didn't care much, but... Same old shitty story with GOD, angels and philosophical nonsense continues. For some reason I have no doubts that we will see the same BAD ending in finale like was with TV series. So only 6/10. I rate it high enough mainly for visuals and cool new chick:

New look on my PC. Well, new in a sense. Same theme, same icons, just wallpaper a bit different:

Current Anime Series You're Watching and your thoughts on it?
dudefromLT replied to Koby's topic in Anime District
At current moment watching "Natsume Yuujinchou Shi", the fourth season of "Natsume Yuujinchou". Two episodes yesterday. Not bad show. As good as previous ones. Good animation, rather good story, good characters. Well, let's say somewhere about 8/10 from me at this point. Will see how it will go on. -
Back to watching anime... Sadly, but all of my choices during week were... bad: Otoboku; Katte ni Kaizou; Ponyo; Rocket Girls; Shadow Star Narutaru Won't talk about them much (my rate would be 1/10 for all of them) as all of these shows were dropped. Well, maybe only the main reasons why they were dropped: Otoboku [story] Katte ni Kaizou [story] Ponyo [animation] Rocket Girls [story] Shadow Star Narutaru [animation] So that's that. My week was... not so good regarding watching shows. Maybe I will be more lucky next week, well, days ahead to be precise.
-
Last addition to my long list of shows I watched: "Recorder to Randoseru" All 28 episodes (counting and specials). Really very good. Finished in one evening. Well, like it would be possible otherwise. Episodes only three minutes long. Well, that really and was the only minus I could find. Way to short. At least 10 minutes, but no... Such good series, in such short format. Oh well. My rate is 9/10. Good animation, nice story (like there was one; well, scenes were good;), good characters. Will definitely "burn" it to DVD.
-
Past weeks movies took away my anime. Dunno why, but for some reason I started watching movies more than anime. Well, not like it will last long... Either way: another addition to my collection: "Dictator". Hm... What can I say. Not "bright" but good movie. Funny, sometimes very funny. Some scenes really unforgettable, like helicopter scene or that moments when "great leader" ordered to execute the ones he didn't like. One minus though: romance isn't something that I wanted to see in this movie. It was just out of place. And scenes involving romantic relationships and hints to romance was just... painful to look. Despite that I rate this movie as 8/10. Not as near as good as my recent entry "The Hunger Games", but was worth my evening.

"The Hunger Games". What a movie. Wonderful, just wonderful. Well, I got much more than I was expecting. 10 of 10 from me. Story (10/10). Marvelous. All script was just wonderful. All that game "thing" was nice idea. Though ending was kinda... not that I was expecting for: Well, I was happy that the ending ended happy. Main characters survived and such, but... From story I kinda expected the ending too be sad. Especially from the scenes when players started to kill each other (so sad), and especially the scene with Rue. Man, I can swear that I almost cried when she died and during the couple of minutes after that moment. That scene was just heartbreaking. So I kinda hoped that the ending would have ended in the same manner. Oh well. Either way I liked it, even if was expecting something different. Characters (10/10). No minuses here. Main was chosen perfectly. Special effects (10/10). Not like there were much of it. But still, the ones that was showed was good. So overall 10/10. This movie surprised me.
-
"Tsuritama". Not bad show, but nothing very spectacular. Kinda boring with all that fishing stuff, but kinda decent with story. Animation (9/10). Overall good, though sometimes face expressions of main character were too... "hard" on me. Characters (10/10). Good. Nothing more to say. Story (6/10). Main minus - fishing. It isn't something that I like. Too boring. And main character could have been accompanied by pretty girl or something. The story itself was rather good, though (as mentioned earlier) fishing theme didn't interest me. So overall something like 7/10.

It is over board. But as you mentioned as your level of over board is high it won't bother you much. I myself was bothered by that. Not much, but... I really couldn't get it, but how creators can be so stupid to make upper clothes and brassiere to be destroyed in every f***** battle, but at the same time not touching delicate breasts skin and keep them intact; well, question goes further why to leave (dunno how in English it is called) lower part of underwear; either way it was a little bit too much; so, later it became boring and pointless. Well it was good show, but... fanservice was not the right one, for series. At least I think so. Poor girls with big boobs. It is so hard as they are always in the way. By the way: I intend to grab it as well as dub version comes out. Not to watch it again, just to archive it. For my precious collection so to say.

"Lockout". Hm... Nothing special. Decided to watch it because of some cool visuals, but was kinda disappointed. In trailer this movie looked much cooler, than it was in reality. I could rate it 5/10 at best. Well, the story was general (bad guys, good guy, nice chick (not much this time); good guy beats bad guys and hooks up with chick), characters were somewhat better (Alex and Hydell were kinda cool, with that Irish (I think) accent), special effects were... not so good. Compared to "Battleship" it were disappointing. If rate only it, it would be somewhere 5/10. Either way, evening was not so good watching this movie. Well, at least action scenes were decent, except in first part of the movie (scene with motorcycle; so unrealistic...).
-
I do agree. That one was really good. Though I watched it subed. And I do agree with lame ending. Can't stand when so many questions are left unanswered. And as for my lasts additions: "Gundam Seed". 1/10. Too old. Way too old. Not my style. Animation bad. Fighting scenes lame. Characters less than average. Story... Well, maybe only it was worth something more, but as I skipped theses series after 6 episodes I really can't tell much. "Demonbane". 2/10. Another bad show in my list. Skipped it entirely. Almost everything here was bad: I didn't like the story, main character wasn't good either, even animation wasn't very "bright". The only good thing that I can recall about it was: She was nice. I liked her. Well, at least how she looked. Really couldn't grasp her personality as I didn't watch theses series as I should. Either way. Too old series to enjoy.
-
I have seen it. Subed of course. Good series. One bad thing though (if you can consider that as a bad thing). Boobs everywhere! There were definitely too much of them. Girls fight, upper clothes are destroyed, boobs are revealed. Every f****** time. Nice boobs , but just too many. Kinda was bored by that, as series progressed.

My last stuff: many short OVAs that names I can't remember and "Natsuiro Kiseki". What can I say: nothing much. My week wasn't very good. Day after day no good anime in menu. Decided to watch some random stuff sitting in my HDD, but was disappointed with my selections. The only a little bit more memorable anime was "Natsuiro Kiseki". Well, more memorable doesn't mean I liked it, just that it wasn't so bad. Animation was O.K. (8/10), story not so (5/10), characters rather good (8/10). I finished it in couple of days, mainly because was skipping big parts of it. Kinda disappointing really. So and my writing today is the same.
-
Dunno about my last one. Grabbed it (as all others, mainly) from Konachan.com. And as I tend to rename them ASAP I do not remember original names. Though I doubt that the last one is from anime. Maybe just random drawing. EDIT v1: And here is my last PC beauty: My LAPTOP beauty isn't here as it wouldn't be appropriate place for her, so I put it in "Post your desktop (18+ version)" if anyone cares.

Battleship [Eng] [EngSub] [bDRip] (2012) [KiNGDOM] Long story short: good movie. 8/10 from me. Short story long: good movie only in a sense of special effects (wonderful computer generated visuals; I just loved them), everything else - not so good. Well, as I wasn't expecting anything good apart special effects I got what I was hoping for: beautiful visuals. That was enough for me. But as it stands out I must point out some minuses. I just must: 1 minus: acting; Rihanna isn't good actor; well, I can forgive her as it is her debut (I think); same goes to majority of actors out there; it just didn't feel real; kinda seemed that they weren't able to feel characters they were performing. 2 minus: aliens decided to invade Earth; three on three; why the heck to leave the last enemy ship intact? I don't get it. Ordinary, you should remove all obstacles (meaning not leaving anyone alive who later can become a threat). So why? Are they so stupid? I just don't get that alien thinking. 3 minus: as it seems humans are very...strong. They can be beaten up by extra terrestrial life form, but still able to stand up without any traces of blood. I wonder would that work in real life? 4 minus: Why aliens ships had to jump over the water like frogs? Visually it was beautiful, but it kinda irritated. They were able to get to Earth through space, but wasn't able to fly (or swim) over the water smoothly? That was strange. And didn't they have any better weapons. For crying out loud: they were aliens, who were able to get to earth. And what they had in storage: some shield, some running circles, and some shitty bombs. Where lasers, were missiles and such. I was disappointed. 6 minus: ... O.K. Enough with that. Even more will make you think that I didn't like this movie. Though I did like it. Thought it wasn't very bright from the script side. But it was O.K. (very O.K.) from SE side.

Faust VIII. Though I can't remember much of him (saw "Shaman King" long long time ago), I think that he was one of the best from all the gang. I just liked that guy, though can't say for sure why. All other characters compared to him were so so.

My last watched stuff: "FateZero" THE BEST! What can I say: THE BEST! Very good series indeed. Everything, from animation to story just fascinated me. All that visuals, characters, story twists were just perfect. Much better than its predecessor "FateStay Night" So lets continue: animation (10/10). No minuses here. The quality were just amazing. Maybe only one minus goes from that fact that half of the series I watched in BDRip, other in HDTVRip. So change in video quality was present, but that problem not in the series itself. story (10/10). Very good. I liked how things were developing. Thought as I watched "FateStay Night" I knew were all that was going to. So at some point the ending was kinda spoiled. But that didn't bother me too much. characters (10/10). The Best! All of them were portrayed just perfect. Now if just all anime series had such character development... Well, I can dream at least. All with their own goals and wishes, all with their emotions and such. And by the way, Rider and Waver Velvet were the best of them all. Such a great team. Well, even the most hated like Caster and his master were kinda cool at the end too. When you look at them, you kinda feel sorry how it ended for them. So overall 10/10. I was just consumed by theses series. Though I wonder... why characters were different from "FateStay Night" and theses series? I mean servants, like Rider, Caster, Berserk... "Acchi Kocchi". Nice comedy. Nothing very spectacular, but quite enjoyable. animation (9/10). Good, I liked how characters were drawn. story (7/10). Nothing new. Funny, but nothing very memorable. characters (9/10). Good, thought main one (Io Otonashi) wasn't very good. Can't say for sure why, but I kinda disliked him. Not much, but felt that someone better could be put in his place. Overall good series. So somewhere 8/10. Main problem was subs. All that flying s*** (sentences, words) lagged my computer as hell. My PC was just to week to cope with all that crap. "Tailenders"and "Holy Knight". Won't say anything about it. Skipped (dropped) both of them at the same evening. Neither of it was interesting. The only good think I can remember was Mikagura Tomoe from "Tailenders". She's cute. Everything else not worth mentioning. 1/10 for both of them.

Games that should be made into animes or the reverse
dudefromLT replied to Dark_Angel13's topic in Gaming Realm
"Dead Space" game into anime series. I know that "Dead Space" game was made based on some s**** movie (or backwards; can't recall). Either way, what I would like to see new TV series based on this game. That would be awesome. With all that horror, secrets and such. Not bad would be to see anime like "Silent Hill", "Resident Evil", "Bioshock" and such. Well, it is obvious that I would be delighted to see any horror and science fiction game turn into anime. Now talking about anime turning into games.... Not interested! -
"Star Wars. Forces of Corruption". Expansion pack of "Star Wars. Empire at war". Can't recall if I have already mentioned that one, but recently was playing that one, until find some additional material. Some new units, some new maps and such. I really enjoy myself playing space battles: all that ships, that battles. Now that what takes most of my time (besides of course watching anime). Though because of it "UT2004" now is forgotten. That reminds me. I should update my status...

Current Anime Series You're Watching and your thoughts on it?
dudefromLT replied to Koby's topic in Anime District
"Fate Zero". Oh man. What a masterpiece. So beautiful, so good, so intense, so... (many many good words go here). Ten episodes so far and the only minus that I found... I'm laying. No minuses. I'm really happy that finally decided to start watching it. Hopefully it will continue be so good further on. By the way: Rider and Waver Velvet are the best team. For some reason they reminded me of Mel Gibson and Danny Glover from "Lethal Weapon" Dunno why. EDIT v1: continue watching "Fate Zero" further. I am NOT disappointed. Each episode just gets more and more interesting. One minus though: from BDRip went to HDTVRip (as there aren't still BDs of second season.); so it is kinda obvious loss in quality (well, at least for me). But in other aspects it is still perfect. EDIT v2: after finishing above and some other show: "Tsuritama". HDTVRip, subed by Commie. Four episodes so far. Not bad. Animation good enough (though could be better), story so so (fishing theme is kinda boring, but as it will lead to something more... interesting, I can deal with it), characters good (though I need some girls in it; main lead without one seems incomplete). Either way, not bad. See how it will go further. -
Two more to my collection. This time better than the last ones: "Freedom": rather average, well, sort of. Everything would have been perfect if not the s**** CG animation. Because of it I had to skip much of the content. So It was like 10 minutes of each episode after third episode (managed to watch three episodes without skipping a second). It was just to painful to watch. So only 3/10 from me. Well environment was O.K., but design of characters... horrible! Story was just wonderful (10/10). That kind of story could have easily been fit into 24 episodes or so. Characters were good as well, especially secondary one (Alan). Cool old guy. Well, if not for animation I could have rated theses series 10/10, but because of f**** animation I can give it only 4/10. "K-ON!" movie: good. The old "K-ON!" series style. The way I liked it. Good animation, rather good story, lovable characters. There were no big minuses, except for singing. As I dislike Japaneses songs, I try to avoid them. This time was the same. Whenever "band" decided to sing, I skipped that scenes (the same I did and in TV series). But everything else was more than O.K. I could rate it as 9/10. Mainly because Japaneses songs don't fit with me.
