I myself thought that it was a little overrated. I didn't like the last episode that much. Though it was a happy ending it was a little weird the way they finished it. The way they finished it could've been better.
-
Well good luck with your story. And thanks for the suggestion. I think i will make the main character of my story a blank whose name will be blank.
-
Good idea, i will add those three words too and see if anything "magical" happens. What about you? Writing any story?
-
Oh man, I wanted to write a story for the contest but just can't come up with any. I am stuck in the first sentence which says :Once upon a time in a land far apart........
-
Hey can a story with the genre "Supernatural" be considered as a Fairy Tale?
-
My top five animes are:
1. FMA: Brotherhood
2. Death Note
3. Naruto Shippuden
4. Fairytail
5. Darker Than Black

There is no comparison here. I know Orochimaru is strong, but there is no way he could stand against Madara Uchiha. Even without the Rinnegan and Wood release, the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan is enough to take down Orochimaru.
There's nothing else to be said. It's true. Orochimaru might have been strong but the difference in strength between him and Madara has to be measured by light years.

Well in my thought I would say Slam Dunk, Flame of Recca, Yakitate Japan(it had a good ending but there is more which they could've shown), Ao No Exorcist. I heard somewhere that they were going to make another season for Ao No Exorcist, but I don't know if it's true.
I would say Yu Yu HakushoCome on man, Yu Yu Hakusho had a good ending. There's no reason to make another season to just continue the series. I am happy they didn't try to make another season. If they did then it would've turned out like DBZ or Bleach, killing all the awesomeness and just making the story longer

have u read the reasont chapter? it actually covers about everything. and please his story was good, why flame? unless ur one of those:amazed: uchiha wankers
You see, I started this thread before the last chapter was released. AND HIS STORY WAS GOOD?! LOL, you are the first person i have seen saying this. Everyone with some brain knew that this story was going to be a huge plot hole. Kishi, when realized what wrong he had done, made a desperate move. And in the way he changed two things we knew before:
1. He revealed that Kabuto was found by a nun from the battle field of Kikiyo pass. Wheres we knew before that Kabuto was found by a Konoha Medic Captain.
2. Kishi revealed that Kabuto was never actually the spy of Sasori and that he had been working for Orochimaru from the very beginning. Wheres we knew that Sasori at some point caught Kabuto by a genjutsu and then sent him to Orochimaru's layer to spy on him.
So don't go on writing utter nonsense here unless you have a good idea about what we are talking.

Loved the prologue. It gives a rough idea about what this "Lee" character is and what the story might be about. Will be eagerly waiting to see what happens next.

From what I understood, there would be some kind of theme and then people could make any type of media to represent it, at least from the previous chat. So there would be a theme like romance, and then you could make a story, AMV, gfx, whatever. I think that Dae is now leaning more towards one theme with one kind of entry for people.
Well that makes sense. But I don't know about AMVs. I mean AMVs are totally different from anything like stories or poems or gfx. Wouldn't it make judging a little difficult?
A gil tournament tradition with set rules is alright. I can be a judge, honestly I dont know what to do with my gil so tournaments works out well
Well i don't have any problem donating 2k gil either. But I have another question........Is it a must for a donator/judge to compete in this contest?
-
So i just finished Clannad After Story a few days back. It was pretty awesome and loved all the emotional scenes there. But after the ending I said to myself "Is it overrated? Maybe a little". Anime News Network gave this anime a rating of 9.07/10. I found myself giving it 8.3/10. So what do you guys think? Is it overrated?
-
Nope, Brotherhood ain't overrated at all. I saw both the original and the Brotherhood series and both of them are good. But FMAB is in a whole different level. When I saw the original I really felt bored and thought "there's nothing extraordinary here, this is just the type of anime we stumble over". But the Brotherhood series was way better. Many say that the Brotherhood series rushed their opening compared to the original but I say that the opening of FMAB was fine and the original's opening was super slow. It was like looking at an anime with a thousand fillers all concentrated in 50 episodes. So I really think that Brotherhood was epic and that it is not overrated.

You know, I think there should be constant prize money in the contest and constant number of donators/judges. Let's say that the prize money would be 10k gil and each donator will have to donate 2k gil each. In return the donators will be given the job of the judges. As for the arbiter, the 5 judges can then decide who should have that post. Then no one can come up and say " Hey, I donated more than anyone so give me this special advantage". Also, then the prize money wouldn't have to be reduced just because we couldn't find donators. I mean the amount 2k is pretty small and anyone can pay it without much trouble.
The defense mechanism against the spammers is pretty standard, so no complaints here. Also I loved the tournament style judging system. This would make it easier to judge.
It seems you have introduced 6 types of things which can be posted in order to compete in the contest. Now, I only have one question. In a certain contest are people allowed to introduce any one of those above 6 things? Or is it that in contest#1 the contestants are allowed to introduce only writings of any kind(short stories, drama, poem, etc), then contest#2 will be a drawing contest and so on?

Well I remember seeing, GI Joe, Transformers, TMNT, Tom and Jerry, Popeye, Scooby Doo and lot's more. I used to enjoy these cartoons a lot.
-
Well the contest thought is a nice one. It will definitely energize the forum. Trying to make this a tradition should also be appreciated. Also we need to be careful against spammers who might disrupt the flow of the contest. But the judging system seemed to me to be a little comclicated. Can't we have just something like this:
Let's say there are 5 judges and the prize is 10k gil. Then each judge will pay 2k gil each to the winner. One of the 5 judges will be the arbiter to whom the rest 4 will report about the votes, etc. Now if the arbiter wins, then the rest 4 will pay him 8k gil and the arbiter will keep his own 2k to himself. This goes for the rest 4 of the judges too. There's no reason to give the arbiter the advantage of an extra vote or something like that. Now the question remains is "Who gets to choose the judges" and "why should the judges pay 2k for free every time someone wins". I mean you can't expect someone to just pay up 2k gil and not get any kind of advantage for this. Of course, if someone chooses to donate the gils as prize money without taking any advantage then all the better for the contest. This is just my thought though.

Not the ultimate disappointment. Actually, Naruto dying at the hands of his enemies without some kind of magical resurrection would be the ultimate disappointment, but its another thing that we are basically sure that it wouldn't happen.
Well what I said earlier was a little personal. You see I continued watching Naruto after the first episode because the fact that I wanted to see how a talentless guy ends up becoming a hokage. So I would be disappointed if Naruto didn't become a hokage at the end.
Another would be if they pull a Bleach and "oh darn, I lost my powers so lets do it all over again!"LOL, I laughed at this one. They truly could've finished Bleach through the end of Aizen vs Ichigo battle, but they just had to continue.

Ok, I have done 3 versions for you, I was going to do one seeing as I feel like I did really well with the first one but hey the more the merrier I guess:

Let me know if you want anything changed.
THESE ARE JUST AWESOME. Absolutely perfect, just the way I wanted to be. The only trouble I will have now is to choose one of them. Thanks a million mate. Hope it wasn't too much trouble for you.

Here I have to go with Izuna Uchiha for various reasons. The reasons are:
1. Tobi knows way too much about the Madara and Izuna, and up until now all the data on those two given by Tobi has been proven to be correct.
2. It's true that if Tobi's story is true then Izuna should have been blind. But just like Rikuo said, for all we know Izuna could've killed any uchiha and taken his eye. It shouldn't be hard for a guy who could go toe to toe with Madara. Also I believe that at some point Izuna might have found Obito's body and took the right eye. This will also explain two things:
i). The reason Tobi can carry out a time-space based jutsu with his right eye.
ii). The reason Tobi never used Mangekyo Sharingan.
3. I know many people say "Tobi is the first son of sage of six paths". But it always seemed to me to be a little absurd. For all we know the Sage of Six Paths could've lived about a thousand years ago. So to think that some guy can live for that long is just a little absurd. On the other hand we have already seen a guy who has lived from the era of the 1st Hokage up until the current time line.......it's Kakuzu. So this proves that Izuna can somehow be still be alive.
Well these are just my own opinion.

No chance for Sakura to become a Hokage. After all it's Naruto's dream to become Hokage. Showing Sakura becoming Hokage instead of Naruto would be the ultimate disappointment for all the Naruto fans.
-
That sounds good. So what were you guys talking about.
-
I was thinking of joining in the random discussions which takes place in this thread( was waiting to see if you guys started talking about something which I knew). But anyhow it seems I can't join in the discussion now( not until the 1000th post is made). If I do, then some might think that I am going for the gil.
-
Some people are stupid, ignore them. But I am eagerly awaiting how the story of her will work out. I think there are things about her that will most likely surprise us....I hope so, anyways.
How much have you seen? A good amount of info on Naruto's mother is revealed from episode 246 to 249. But there is always the chance that Kishi would reveal something new about her in the future.

As far as image selection is considered, both the original images looks good. Both Revy and Stocking has a nice pose. The real difference is created due to the colors. The first one is simply grey while the other one has a combination of various colors and the moving chains as background looks awesome. Though both of them are really good, the question is which is better. It's only due to the colorful display that I would pick Stocking's as better. That blue one of Revy's looks awesome too.

Harry Potter : The Anime ...
in Anime District

LOL, I also thought this at first. I actually went back to see this image after reading your post here. When I saw the pic I was like "Wait, this just might work."
Well, this concept of making HP into an anime is pretty awesome. It has got potential too. But if this happens then I would want it to follow the books rather than the movies. The movie's stories were good but they changed various vital points. And since an anime can go on for a lot of episodes it would be no problem to pick every scene from the book and animate it.
There's no anime version of Harry Potter. We are just talking about all the possibilities regarding an anime version of HP, like how it should be animated and if people would like it.
