Why are we alive? - Hrm, that's a tough one. I think everyone is alive for their own special reasons, we really don't need to be alive - if one of us died tomorrow the planet would continue spinning, etc. The only reasons we live are our own, mine is to raise my kids.
Why are we here? - These seems similar to the last question, we're here to be alive, we're alive for *see above*.
When did the earth start? - Millions of years ago before humans and dinosaurs existed. The Earth was probably a piece of material floating in space that found the perfect space from the dun to sustain life.
Why do we laugh? - We laugh for lots of reasons: we genuinely feel something amuses us, we're nervous, we're trying to soften the mood...
Why do we cry? - Crying is tricky. We cry when we're happy, we cry when we're sad... Crying is an outlet for our strong emotions, no matter what they are.
Why do we have muscle? - *Doesn't have much muscle...
* Muscle is for movement, for carrying us through our daily lives. Without muscles we would be bony-skin bags. I prefer curves.Who was the 1st person on earth "and not God"? - Person, tough choice of words. Long after the settling of our planet we were blessed with the formation of life. (Through whatever means that actually came about.) The first life on the planet was NOT human, was NOT a person, but the first person in my opinion was some kind of evolved bipedal manbeast. I know, no scientificness there.
Why is "life" a word? - Life, we need a name to put to our experiences, we need some way to refer to it. As a people, we require meaning or explanation to our existence.
Why do animals exist? - Moooooo. Animals are another set of organisms that evolved to adapt to their situations and locations.
Why do we have brains. How is it made? - The brain, a great mystery of our time. How is it made well that's tough. Why do we have them? The brain is our control center, (well, plus the nervous system) they're kind of important. The brain helps us to remember, helps us to think, helps us to make decisions...
Pretty deep Sensui! lol...

I didn't see that, 30 minutes for all? I suppose it doesn't take too long for me to do it now that I have a small arsenal of renders and images to work with, not to mention I have some decent photoshopping skills going into it. But 30 mins for all of them is pretty fast.

If that's your work then it's very nice, you should try making a submission the the 'Signature of the Week' thread.

As Koby mentioned in the Requesting Banners thread which is now closed, I just wanted to say what a great idea I thought the voting was. There are 13 banners up currently and doing something similar to 'SOTW' would be fun! Each week a new banner could be selected and the oldest removed. Recently I've seen a lot of talent from posters in the GFX threads, it's a nice way to see good work recognized. That way if I ever wantedto know who made a banner, I could check the 'Banner Whatever Thinger' thread!

Oooo, fun - Yes, if this is still relevant:

Like Koby, I don't necessarily have a plan for what I'm going to watch this summer. On the other hand I intend on finishing Yu Yu Hakusho, I started it a few days ago.

1: 8/10 2: 9/10
The only thing I disliked about the first one was the text, I just didn't like the font used with the image. Beautiful background though, and for the second one, I love the colors, even though I don't recognize the character from anywhere in particular.

One of my first tries, my new hobby!

Everyone has very strong opinions on the topic, as they should! As a teenager I was always a little wishy washy on the subject...I always knew I would NEVER do it myself, but I also knew I would always support a friend or family member who chose to go that route.
As it turned out, I had a friend in highschool who chose to get an abortion. She was very skinny, a very small framed girl who would have a difficult time delivering a baby and carrying to full term. We were best friends for over a decade and drifted apart shortly thereafter, I came to realize that she hadn't gotten an abortion because of her size, but because she refused to ask her mom (or go on her own or ask a friend) to get birth control pills. No condoms, no pills, just a lazy girl looking for a quick way out.
A few years later when I was 18 I had my first pregnancy - From that point on I knew I was going to be a mommy. When I started having my own kids, my views on abortion became more clear and stronger than ever before. They should only be used for EMERGENCIES (mother can't handle the pregnancy, baby is the result of rape or incest) and only in the first trimester and only if adoption is completely unable to be done.
All this talk about abortion vs. adoption is pretty ridiculous if you ask me. These babies will be BABIES at the time of adoption, parents can sit on waiting lists for YEARS waiting for a brand new little baby to come along, if new moms turned to adoption instead of abortion they would be helping these poor families become whole much sooner than they would have waiting on the adoption list. More group homes and whatnots are for OLDER children, babies that come into the system are much more likely to be adopted out.
I started brabbling there, probably got off topic but hey, what can you do?

In the area where I grew up there were two highschools, the public one and the Catholic one. I consequently went to the Catholic one - in which we were required to wear uniforms. They were simple, plaid skirts, grey pants, white dress shirts/school golf shirts/sweatshirts/cardigans. Oh, and stupid black shoes. Our skirts were blue, so it wasn't awful to look at persay. Later on in highschool I moved out of the city and went to a larger public school, they had no real dress code to speak of. So I've experienced both.
My opinion on uniforms;
PROS: No 'deciding what to wear' so I saved some time. There was really only one time a year you had to buy new school clothes instead of shopping every couple of weeks for trendy clothes. Gave the school a more, 'professional' feel. You could easily recognize who was a student, and who wasn't.
CONS: Uniform needed to be ironed daily, and if you couldn't afford to buy a few of them with the hefty price tag, you were stuck rewashing every night. The kilts were really long when you bought 'em, so you had to get them hemmed...more $$$. (Kilts were $70 a piece.) Didn't fix the indecency problem, girls still wore shirts with boobs falling out, skirts with panties showing...boys wore inappropriate shirts underneath their white dress shirts/golf shirts...could be seen through. If you were missing even a PART of the uniform, you got sent home. No real originality besides hair styles and socks. Kids were still teased for the way they dressed, so it didn't solve THAT issue either.
My opinion on NO uniforms;
PROS: More individuality, everyone shows their own style. You're free to wear what you please, if you felt like wearing jeans and a t-shirt it was okay. In the winter you didn't have to worry about changing when you got to school. (Girls wore kilts...a little cold to wear kilts in the winter.)
CONS: Inappropriate clothing runs rampant, too short, too sexy, too skimpy, too vulgar. (I admit, I had a skanky skirt or two back in the day!) Some kids couldn't afford 'nice' clothing, they were teased and looked down upon. I found I spent a lot more money on clothing when I went to public school... had to keep up appearances!
So anyway really....uniforms didn't really change much for me. Kids are still teased, they still do inappropriate things...clothing didn't seem to dictate behavior.
