  1. Cello - Hello, and thank you. I have a Deviant art, but some of my work is not safe for work. Lol My Deviant Art. Talena Mae - I'm sorry, I've always enjoyed the term. I'm fluent in Japanese and I use it all the time to refer to myself and my hobbies. I actually use it with varying degrees of pride. Lol Lemmingllama - That actually sounds pretty cool. Though I've been Mako Ruu since before Final Fantasy VII. The actually spelling and pronunciation is ancient Greek. A loose translation would be "The Blessed Child." - I have a myanimelist but I don't use it. My anime list is a note book I have stashed somewhere near my computer with all my anime written down on it. Lol Emotional Outlet - Here is the Youtube channel for the Haunted House I work at. I'll have it updated with some more videos but I don't control it's content. http://www.youtube.com/user/Dare2BeScared13 Angel Of Darkness - It was a joke. Lol I actually look really young for my age, so I'm often mistaken for someone in high school. Thank you all for your replies. You guys seem pretty cool and welcoming unlike most of the broods that troll anime forums.
  2. Anime is a huge part of my life. I spend about six hours looking for, another 4 hours downloading, and then anywhere from 12 to 72 hours watching anime. I like to take my time when watching a series, and I'll only watch one or two episodes a night. Kind of dragging it out like actual TV. But there have been days where I just need anime, and I watch it from about the time I wake up to the time I go to bed. Lol
  3. I didn't like the anime version of Kodomo No Jikan, but the OVAs were the best. They were more true to the manga. So I'd have to say that they were my favorite. That, or the OVAs to Ichigo Mashimaro.
  4. I didn't vote in your thingamajigger cause the option I want isn't available. I would say both. Since I speak fluent Japanese, having an English dub isn't important to me. But it's fun to watch animes in English just to see the difference between them. Watching an anime in it's native language is half the enjoyment.
  5. I was reading through the first couple of pages just to get a general idea of what people were watching. And I have to say that I'm not surprised. Lol I'd have to say the paltry few pages I read through contained enough information for me to want to make a lengthy and ranting post about Americanized Anime. However, I'm not gonna rant cause everyone likes different things. However, out of my top five favorite animes, only 2 have aired in America. 1. Toradora! Toradora has an amazing and gripping story with light hearted humor while at the same time being a wonderful romance drama. It's easily my current favorite anime. 2. Clannad & Clannad After Story While they're the same series, the two seasons are greatly different, and both are funny, sweet, romantic, and emotionally moving. The Clannad series is extremely close to over taking Toradora! as my all time favorite anime. 3. Ranma ½ Everyone should watch Ranma at least once in their anime lives. Most people who follow the anime love it, and stuck around for all nine seasons. Ranma is a classic anime, and is easily one of the best of all time. Not only this, but it gave rise to several acclaimed voice actors, including Richard Ian Cox. 4. The Dragon Ball Series Love it, absolute favorite anime of all time. (I know right?) But I've seen it so much that I've gotten used to it being awesome and it's no longer listed as top one my tier of anime. It's one of the only anime I've watched that's been aired in America on cable television. 5. The fifth place on my tier is filled with anime that made the top five of my tier, but didn't go any further, and it would be unfair to place them in sixth and seventh and so on. And the list is FAR from complete or even a percentage of what I've watched and enjoyed. Mahoromatic - Macademi Wasshoi - Kanokon - Tekkaman - Chobbits - Strike Witches - Kemeko Deluxe! - Midori no Hibi - And the list goes ON and ON and ON. Lawd On a side note, I would like to say that I'm holding in reserve Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z - on the account that I've never watched it. I can't find working links, and the ones that I do, the series is incomplete or so large that all 52 episodes would take up too much space for my computer. So I'm hoping to find them mini encoded somewhere. But it looks bleak.
  6. Hey. I'm Mako Ruu. I'm a pretty well known Otaku in most circles. I've been around since nearly the birth of the Internet. I'm an ancient old man (of 26) who can be kind and awesome and give good advice. Or I can be a stoic grump who tells it like it is. It just depends on my mood. I've been called a hipster, but I've watched more anime than anyone I've ever come up against. And I've actively collected and read hundreds of manga series ranging from Stepping on Roses to Scott Pilgrim vs The World. At the moment, my current favorite top three anime are ToraDora! - Clannad (including Clannad After Story) - And the oldie classic, but always still a goodie, Ranma ½. My favorite manga is easily Kodomo No Jikan. (inb4badreviews) It's a wonderful story regardless of the bad rumors it's gotten, and I've been reading it for years. I've fallen in love with the characters, and eagerly await the release of the next issue from Sahou. I came here because I garner dozens of forums to download and share anime, as one forum may be good for one thing, while not good for another. My Hobbies include drawing and animation (anime and cartoons), writing, astronomy, puppetry (<3) , and making videos with my puppets and my friends. Lol We have this awesome show with the puppets that we put on youtube. In my spare time, I study physics and cosmology. I look forward to hanging out with you guys.
