  1. toonami had some good commercial for almost all their shows,i mean they even made sailor moon look watchable, but in truth i don't believe toonami will come back thanks to the internet and how easy it is for people to get their hands on uncut episodes of anime and without being interrupted by commercials.

  2. when it comes to censorship i agree that there should be a limit,i mean if you think about it Japanese kids are more mature then american kids, i think this is the case mainly due to their environment and how they were brought up, and as we all know, anime is a factor in that environment. When anime comes from japan it is uncensored but when other countries get it, there's always a form of censorship. Most of the time it doesn't really matter(like in yu gi oh's case)but other times (like Naruto shippuden on Disney) it's a big problem, mainly because it cuts many scenes out of the episodes. in fact, the english dub was uncut and uncensored just as the Japanese dub,but in the disney dub, fight scenes are sadly reduced and as you know the blood is taken out.On another note disney even censored the naruto shippuden openings, like in opening 2 there is no blood(this is understandable)and when naruto and sasuke approach each other at the end, they just stare at each other(while in the uncut version they both draw weapons)i mean come on the anime is about Ninja's for cying out loud what do you expect ninja to fight with as their primary weapon?

so in other words, censorship really depends on the show, if your going to air a show like Naruto shippuden, do it on a network like adult swim, but not a children's network, that way the dub won't be all fucked up. By the way anyone know what happened to that one dbz dub where the characters said damn alot? it was uncensored late at night on cartoon network
