  1. Christopher Brookmyre's "Boiling A Frog". I love his stuff, but because it's often heavily political it gets dated very quickly.
  2. Sweeney Todd, Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I'm so glad I'm a vegetarian.
  3. Shou Tucker, Fullmetal Alchemist. BURN IN HELL. Also Envy.

I really loved this series. I grew up with it. The movies could be letdowns, though. I suppose the later ones had the excuse of there being no possible way to fit such massive books into feasibly-sized movies (though this still begs the question of why we got NONE of the epicness that was the Quidditch World Cup in movie 4 and instead got a massively extended sequence with the dragon, even though a) there were supposed to be like fifty highly trained dragon handlers around to STOP that thing going for a wander like that and the whole point of that scene was supposed to show Harry's viability as a competitor by him being the quickest to get the egg), but it doesn't explain the early movies' tendency towards cutting important plot chunks in exchange for other scenes being weirdly prolonged (could we not have had TEN SECONDS to explain who the Marauders were? PLEASE?) I suppose you've gotta accept the movies as something to watch after you've read the books to bring things to life, but sadly some people think that because the movies exist you don't have to read the books and you can get everything from the movies. Ahahahahahahahahahaha... no.
  6. 996,595 Played this on another forum once. Since only two of us were playing and we lived in such different timezones that we were never online at the same time, it went slooooooooooooooooooow XD
  7. Still have a SNES, N64, and Gamecube at home. I was too young to catch the NES, and if I ever catch some of those mythical creatures known as "money" I might look to acquire one.
  8. I remember long ago playing Super Mario Bros on my cousins' SNES with them. I can't remember if this was before or after my grandparents, who are beyond awesome, gave me a yellow Gameboy Colour and Pokemon Yellow for my birthday.
  9. Empire Strikes back. No question about it.
  10. The Fruits Basket anime, so very much. After the absolute wonder and emotional beauty of the manga, we get this weirdo piece of crap?
  11. Thanks! I'm planning to hang around
  12. Has anyone mentioned YuGiOh? Because it's got them all over the shop. Yugi and the Pharaoh can count as one; everyone thought they were a straight off split personality in the original manga/Season 0, and they still count if you go with the reincarnation theory that they're both parts of the same soul. Bakura for similar reasons. Jaden Yuki for similar reasons. And Marik is a much straighter example, though his split personality did seem to separate into its own soul since it threw him out of his body at one point. The Millennium Rod probably had something to do with that. Also, InuYasha in Youkai form.
  13. Tough call, I love tons. The Lion King is one of my favourite things of all time (it was SO GORGEOUS in 3D) But I also love: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the good one, with Gene Wilder) Batman: The Dark Knight (Can't wait for The Dark Knight Rises...) Sherlock Holmes (Again, can't wait to see the sequel) V For Vendetta (One of my favourite holiday movies of all time) The Princess Bride (Just so many types of win) Blazing Saddles (Check it, Scary Movie crew: THIS is how you do a parody) Star Wars III-VI (I can be quite happily forgotten, as can all of II until they get to the arena) Die Hard (People look at me funny when I tell them this is my favourite Christmas movie...)
  14. Interesting series. It started out looking like your bog-standard high school romance, then got a bit dramatic harem anime, then went full-on psycho in the last episode. Makoto was an utter asshole in the anime, but he was way nicer in the manga, which also cut the harem out and just focused on the love triangle between Kotonoha, Sekai and Makoto. Makoto was a nice guy who didn't want to hurt either of them. The ending was almost as creepy, though less bloody.
  15. Thanks! Oh, forgot to add YuGiOh Abridged to my favourite anime list, if it counts XD
