  1. :hungry:

ok first of as people have said befor me "fairy tail is on the same lvl as DBZ".

this is just not true, and if it is then one piece is way above the lvl of DBZ.

even though there were lots of fillers in the DB-DBZ-DBGT series its still in a league of its own.

FT isn't close to DBZ and OP is "apparently" the leading manga series, I wouldn't say OP is in the same league as DBZ but its fairly closer then any other.

  2. when naruto was brought to fight pain at the end of his sage training or w/e, the toad said that naruto either did surpass his master and by extension the 4th or could surpass them. I forgot really.

as amateurish as naruto is I pick him, he doesn't quite have the skills at a master level but he's good enough to make them stronger then the ninja that have walked before him.

  3. the previous posts choosing numbers aren't bad with their decisions to why they chose numbers but its a bit opinionated.

the first 5 posts claim that early 'human related' life could already know how many of whatever they see, but just knowing doesn't mean anything unless you could communicate to increase your chances of survival. ergo numbers; the categorization of what we see compared to letters; general communications with each other is a coin toss guess.

honestly I know the answer because I started the thread, its a trick question because numbers were both the first things we used to communicate and categorize.

if you chose numbers you were obviously correct but the reasons were not as constructed as I thought they would be. little more my fault cause I posted this not in the mako section xP.

  4. goku can accomplish amazing things for only being pushed to it, one of the few people he has never been able to beat one on one is Broly.

the strongest anime character I would suggest is either Gogeta or Vegeto; the fusions of the 'last 2 full blooded' saiyans.

  5. yeah I would have chosen obelisk but slifer was just the one I always liked since seen in the anime.

out of the 3, obelisk is the least useless but I don't duel online since the timing for me to click stuff on a lag is what sets me back and eventually is the cause of my losses. and I'm still noob at dueling since just getting back into the fad.

  6. The god cards are huge liabilities, their own effects are useful at the begging of their summon but the cost for their power is like a double edged sword minus obelisk. Obelisk is other wise just a really high level monster who's attack points don't fit his criteria as being a god card.

If I had my choice I'd pick slifer, he might as well be the weakest but for me building a deck around his power requirements is less stressful then having to give life points or having a set attack that isn't anything impressive to be called god like.

In my opinion they should have been released sooner because with today's speed play of swarming monsters with unfair spell/trap cards it makes the use of having them in any deck kinda pointless.

  7. ... It wasn't out right said but it is highly implied that Gol D's hat is the hat that Luffy has today. you can also wiki it but a lot of info is submitted by people not trustworthy of the facts in OP.

Gol D. gave it to shanks then shanks gave it to Luffy, right?

  8. That is good to know.

Union cards are becoming my favorites. I'm working on a deck to support the Union cards I have so far. Big issue is Union cards aren't the most popular and the list of them is like 'one of' the shortest ones for a monster type.

But like the XYZ cards that were released they can easily take control of the direction in a duel. with fast summonings and alternative fusions.

  9. Okay, I like Union Monster cards they are real useful if you can come up with a strategy. But I would get into to arguments with people about one un-left detail.

With some union monsters they increase the ATK/DEF of its host and protects them from destruction. While other union monsters just protect their hosts from destruction.

So I was even confused about the damage calculation if there was going to be one, since the union monsters protect their hosts does that mean damage calculations are applied normally or does the union monster just block the attack and is destroyed itself? or does damage still go into effect and is the difference between the attacking monster and the host monster? or between the attacking monster and union monster?

I searched union monster rulings but since no one mentioned my predicament I went on thinking that the attack was negated which meant no battle damage and my union monster is destroyed. similar to tributeing it to stop the attack.

SIDE NOTE: In the past when I would duel at small tournaments, I use to be able to get away with using union monsters to boost my LP's, by using the continues spell card "Morale Boost" I could treat my Union Monsters as an equip spell card and I gained 1,000 LF's each time I used a Union monsters effect and I wouldn't lose any LP's because I would later un-equip them from the host monster to which they are no longer treated as equip spells. xD

  10. Silent swordsmen or Armored Dragons,

I had built 2 different decks for both of them and some time in the past when I was getting bored with yugioh I lost my 3 first edition Armored Dragons lv7 and 2 lv10 and my 2 Silent swordsmen lv5 and 1 lv7 >"< SO PISSED STILL!

But now I'm just finding my old cards again I really like Mystic swordsmen atm.

  11. You mean Arnis, or what it's commonly known today as Kali?

My grandfather taught me it when I was a kid. So I guess me being Filipino and all, I'll take that as my fav. Nothing beats the philosophy of "Offense first, over defense.".

One can always learn to block or evade, but to have knowledge to counteract and strike, is pure gold imo.
