I don't know which to pick, sometimes both are good, sometimes the Manga is better than the Anime adaptation....but usually its the Manga version that gives birth to the Anime version.
I wish the manga had a happier ending....but watching the anime was great. Kinda depressing and emotional, but it really gets you. I doubt there will ever be a second season, though the anime did leave off almost half of the rest of the story seen in the manga, so there would be plenty for another 12 episodes if they ever decide to make a 2nd season.
Deathnote - Light Yagami should'nt have died like he did. Though some may argue he was a little dark so he might have deserved it. Oh and i agree, Kamina was kickass so he shouldn't have died either.
I've seen alot of good series, and everytime I see a new one, it always seems a little better than the last. If I had to pick one, it might be Deathnote, but that probably won't do justice cause I like a whole bunch of other series too.
I think everyone has different tastes, but about Bleach, like backa91 said, the Bount Arc was dreadful, so try skipping that story arc and checking out the series again.
But I thought that this was old news that Toonami was killed off a long time ago... And I agree, I do think they should have a channel devoted to anime only. They don't have that here in the good old U.S.A. do they? Sometimes I wonder why.
August? Awwwwwww hell no.... That's when my fall semester of college begins. Oh well, at least that means Bleach is still being dubbed. That's somewhat comforting?
English: Johnny Yong Bosch cause he gives his characters bad ass voices... Brad Swaile who played Light Yagami in Deathnote, (potato chip scene was epic) Steve Blum - His voices are so wierd, but he's got talent. Japanese: Kugimiya Rie - played alot of tsundere characters. Remember Shana? urasai!urasai!urasai!urasai! Nana Mizuki - also a good voice actor and singer. Aya Hirano - Who could forget Haruhi Suzumiya?
I prefer Japanese animation, but since I was born and raised in America, I'll never forget cartoons like Tom and Jerry....and I think those classic cartoons are way better than what you see today on American television now. I don't know, maybe cause I'm old school.
