  1. I was in the same boat as you (except i slightly prefer SEED to 00. Wing started off great and lost itself in the middle. I hope you've seen endless waltz though!). I'd watch the original just for the context. It feels a little slow and the animation is dated, but still worth it. The first half of SEED is almost a carbon copy of 0079. 08th MS team is a must see and 0083 Stardust Memory is fantastic. 0080 War in Pocket is quite different, i kind skipped it because i really want to watch Zeta, but i have since been convinced to double back and finish it.

  2. I'm talking about the cutscene that occurs right before the entire squad decides to leave the normandy(before the suicide mission) where a collector ship invades the normandy and abducts the crew and you have to play as Joker. They never explain why all of a sudden, instead of 3 people, you take everybody on to the shuttle, leaving only the Normandy crew on board, for some mission that, you never get to play and is never actually explained.

Oh ok, i vaguely remember that now, my bad.

Its been a year and im only part ways on my second play though.

    I guess i better finish 2 , i seem to be forgetting a bunch of stuff :)

  3. There is a huge Plothole in Mass effect 2 though I guess it could count as a flaw. Anyone remember "Hey let's go on an unnamed mystery mission and jam everyone into the shuttle even though we only normally take 3 and leave the Normandy completely defenseles, won't want anyone to be left behind in case a collector ship finds us." that always bugged me.

I hate to be that guy, but.... technically if you read the codex (or whatever that journal thingy is) the shuttle can carry 12 + 2 pilots. And by unnamed mystery mission, im assuming you mean the "suicide" mission? Your crew is still aboard the Normandy and you've been gathering all these people for that last mission, i wouldn't really make sense to leave them on the ship...

(although i don't remember that bit about the "collector ship find us", i am on a replay so i'll find out soon).

Anyways, i can't wait. I tried to preorder the special edition for PC, but the EB Games is all sold out. Im gonna check a few other places then i guess i'll have to grab a copy off amazon. They still have the special edition of ME2, so here's hoping the'll have extras of 3.

  4. black lagoon

As much as i love back lagoon, i wouldn't consider it scifi. But totally worth the watch if you haven't seen it. I can see why Shyguysteve suggested it, as i scifi fan i do love it, just not for the scifi content.

All the big names have been pointed out. But i'll throw in Gundam Seed, which pretty much is a space opera like star wars. Albeit with more crying and Mobile suits.

  5. 15 posts seems totally fair. There are a ton of threads to post on.

Well even if they posted a "thank you for the links" it would not be so bad IMO, but the leechers don't even know how to say thank you! Grrr >.<

I'll have to remember this next time i download something, i haven't so far cause it felt like cluttering up the thread, but i next thing i download i'll be leaving a thank you.

  6. I was super scared when i started season 2 because it looked like they where playing a "gundam seed destiny" play (ie starting a second season from the view point of a antagonist, thus making the previous protagonist the new antagonist). So far seems to be working out fine, im only have way through enjoying it quite a bit, although it is not without its flaws.

  7. Despite my name on the forums i have to say i really like the GAT-X207 Blitz from Gundam Seed, the Strike was pretty awesome, but he Blitz could go invisible. If there was a gundam game i feel the Blitz would suit my play style, ambushing flanking attacking from the unexpected.

Also honourable mention to the GN-002RE Gundam Dynames Repair, from 00. Although i must admit this is one of the few times where the pilot of the mech has a more awesome name that the mech...

  8. Pretty sure nobody will disagree with me on this one: Gundam Seed Destiny

Fell very flat after launch, with such a terrible protagonist, the hero from the last series stole the show, thus making a terrible mess out of it. I love all the characters from SEED (well except Flay...) and boy, i really have to agree Kira was too invincible. Which would have been ok, if he was used sparingly (like some relevant plot point where he talks some sense into Shin or 11th hour hero). But man, he became the main hero and because Shin was so incredibly unlikable, you had to root for Kira.

I have to admit, i ate every single minute of that show up despite the mediocrity.

  9. Yup, like people have said, jobs where you need your finger tips to work. When i go out shooting in the winter (photography, not rifles) i have gloves that are both fingerless, but have the flap so the can be mittens. Best of both worlds, although they do look a tad homeless like. Those pictured are no more that a bit of pointless fashion, which describes quite a bit of fashion if you ask me. Practicality > Fashion any day, you don't know when the zombie apocalypse is gonna hit! :)

  10. Haven't really watched a ton so far, but I would have to be Gundam Seed. 00 came close, but then i watched the movie and it ruined it for me. 00 is far too preachy in beginning (which i didn't like), then in the middle lost it (which was awesome), then the movie brought it back at the very end ( i was loving the movie, till the giant flower bs).

Im nearly done wing, and so far...eh, It started off really strong, but it feels pretty meh right now, I will reserve judgement for when i finish though.

So far though, i totally prefer real robot to the other type of mecha anime.
