almost forgot  -  Girls of the Wild's

  2. highschool dxd and moretsu pirates are 2 of the better shows ive seen for awhile , highschool dxd might be heavy on fanservice but it has an interesting story to back it up with , moretsu pirates is a fantastic new take on the space pirate theme , ive enjoyed highschool dxd (hopefully they get season2 organised soon) and am waiting for more moretsu pirates :)

inu x boku ss is another interesting one my boys downloaded, havent had a chance to more than glance at parts of it but looks good :)

  3. robert jordan's - the wheel of time series

david eddings - has a few series

peter morwood - the horselords series

david gemmell - drenai series/ sipstrassi series

anne mac caffrey - pern series

are all good books :) they're the ones i can think of off the top of my head

takes to long to hunt more for you :( need to clear and organise my collection of 1500 scifi/fantasy books ,

  4. anime unlike normal cartoons gives you the rush of feelings you dont normally get without the revulsion of live tv shows and movies that are designed to provoke the same feelings .

to many tv shows pomote a violent and disturbing look at the world around us unlike anime which shows us the same things but from a perspective that allows us to comprehend it without the shock value most tv shows aim for

  5. well lets see ................. started at around 11pm aest with venu verses virus (again :) ) and its 6:20am aest now, finished the series :( need more of an ending or new series , read 5 chapters of Nurarihyon no Mago online and played an mmo so far :)

if i didnt have an appointment this afternoon i'd prob still be reading/watching for another few hours :D

BUT if i need a number it would be atleast 3-4hrs nightly possibly more

  6. depends on what i can get hold of :) i'll watch the anime if possible then read the manga or if i find a manga thats interesting i'll read that first and look for an anime version :)

yeah i know long winded way of saying either is good for me :D

  7. i tend to watch a few at a time but the last ones have been bleach 234 engdub , resurrection princess dualaudio , sekirei pure engagement dualaudio and rosario + vampire capu dualaudio (finished last 3 and waiting for more series/episodes of all)

bleach is one of the more interesting long anime series ive found the story is engaging , the filler arcs are ok for some background but can get abit annoying, havent really got into the subbed version ( too many others to watch )

resurrection princess is a wonderful mix of most shlock horror movies like frankenstein, dracula, the werewolf with the weird zany things you can only get away with in an anime .

the sekirei series are a delightful blend of fighting fantasy and life :) would you turn your back on a girl that is alone and being attacked ?, would you have helped if you knew she wasnt altogether human and had strange powers ? would you really want to stay at that place after meeting the landlady when she's angry ????

rosario + vampire is a fun enjoyable romp of what life could be like for humans and monsters alike if your lucky :)

  8. I, myself prefer english audio , my son the japanese audio.

out of the 140 odd series i have on my HD at the moment about 8 are eng subbed as there isnt a english/dual audio version around, the rest are all dual audio.

But i will watch subbed if its interesting enough and look for dual later :)

slowly working through my sons HD of anime that arent dual audio yet :(

  9. Hello, new poster here. One series I'd like to see get Dubbed is Sekirei Season 2, I really hate how long they take between seasons sometimes and I've not even seen news of it being dubbed yet so it's irritating, but they also haven't finished the whole series yet so maybe just jumping the gun. Happy Lesson Advance is another one like that, really if you're going to Dub it don't stop mid way!

I got plenty more in my head I just can't think of them right now lol.

sekirei 2nd season pure engagement has been reased in dual audio

  10. alot depends on who produced the orginal anime and which one did the english voices.

ive watched some japanese anime where the voices blended into a continuous blur (male and female characters ended up sounding so similar) and some where the voices were fitting to the characters and show. with the dual audio being available for most new dvd/bluray it lets you decide , some series benefitted from an english sound, others weren't as lucky , it all depends on who does them and which voice actors are used in the end
