The 4th Hokage was the biggest bad ass, he had the ability to leave behind some of his Chakra for Naruto as well. Jaraiya has stated many times he was the perfect student.

Hotfile forced to release user data by court
Libitinarius replied to Dan Den's topic in Mako Reactor
Glad you mentioned this, good friends son downloaded a GTA 4 off demonoid and the ISP (Comcast) sent a letter in the mail to him, informing him of piracy of the exact game he downloaded. The ISP proceeded to threaten shutting down his connection if the piracy ensues. The good old days are about to come to an end, but I'll still be on Kametsu to yap my flap about Naruto, I'm nerdy like that. -
Yeah, you're right he is pretty well blind at the moment, but that's just temporary. Give the guy a break, he just took on the whole Allied Forces, and killed Danzou! I favor Naruto in the future (and hate Sasuke with a passion), but he himself admits at Mount Myōboku that he needs Minato's seal to defeat Sasuke, and what was the point of the seal? To eventually completely control the nine-tails without hurting anyone again, like he did Jiraiya. Edit: Also, where Sasuke is, Madara is not far away. Can he control the Kyuubi? According to Minato he attacked the village with it. And he has collected the others and threatened to use the sealing jutsu. Does he need a sealing Jutsu for the Kyuubi he supposively summoned? I don't know.
-
If you're going by the anime, Sasuke is stronger because of Amaterasu, and since Naruto has not learned to control the Kyuubi, yet. If you're going by the manga, Naruto is clearly stronger at this point.

Funny you mention Bill Hicks, he was actually an advocate for Marijuana, he himself said, "Alcohol and cigarettes kill more people a year then heroin, crack, and cocaine combined." Ironic that he is dead from his use of cigarettes. Also, I do not think you're taking into account the pregnant mothers who abuse drugs, what of their fetus? It is the child's fault that their parents decided to abuse drugs while they were developing? Certain drugs can never be done in moderation! Every addict starts out that way, and eventually they fly off the handle like everyone else. Others are hurt in the crossfire of people who are bona fide addicts. A girl is shot on a street corner while playing outside due to someone ripping someone else off for drugs; where is her justice in your philosophy?
-
Marijuana is acceptable in my opinion, but the other drugs change people so drastically, there is a reason they are illegal and hated. Meth--causes people to rob, sell, rape, STD infested, and build labs that endanger those living within close proximity. The same goes for heroin, ecstacy, crack, and the pill-poppers. My mom was a heroin addict for 25 years, and my father use to hide in cabinets under the sink on rock cocaine. I have seen multiple people overdoses as a child, and that is why I believe certain drugs should be illegal and never codoned. Others are hurt far more by the addicts who decide to carelessly intoxicate themselves.

Mine is a combination of my real name Noah + Naruto = Noato. I know, not very clever. Meh..

Who is a stronger shinobi... Sasuke or Naruto?
Libitinarius replied to ronnie's topic in My Two Cents
With Sasuke's Susano, Amaterasu Sharingan, and genjutsu; he is pretty unstoppable. He has the perfect defense, and his offense can burn anyone alive in an instant. When Naruto is receiving his prophecy at Mount Myōboku, he admits to himself that he doesn't think he's strong enough to defeat Sasuke without the Kyuubi's power; and he hasn't mastered that power. That's when he steps forward and places his hand on Minato's sealing scroll. Remember, Naruto doesn't know why he's going to this "resort" to meet an octopus. The only people aware of the purpose of his S-rank mission, are Tsunade, Raikage, and the team escorting him. -
Half your story reminded me of a giant well written wrestling rp. I thought back to when Owen Hart lost his life on the bungee cord (imitating Sting) and before that he actually ended Stone Cold Steve Austin's career with a piledriver. The part where your story started to submerge me, was when you started giving details of his personal life. I like the morbid reality and the callus persona your main character portrays in the story--it was a breath of fresh air.

The problem with people is they will often criticize religion with science, and they do so knowing little-to-nothing about the beliefs and doctrine of the individual they criticize. I try to keep an open mind by doing research on different religions, fully trying to grasp it before I draw conclusions from the most reliable source in the world! (Google/wikipedia) No one answer can suffice the complexity of our psyche, the big bang theory was made by man and therefore it is not superior to the other beliefs, but equal on terms of man's limitations. Such as carbon dating, not an absolute science, but it gives us close "approximations" of our best possible answer. Essentially, we base our intelligence off the limited information we have at our disposal. I think it would be arrogant to assume we discovered the origins of the universe, when we haven't even fully grasped our own planet (UHH the Ocean). The giant squid was thought to be a myth until a decade ago, as was the possibility of cloning a mammoth in a few years. In my opinion, people are too cynical with regards to religion. They often say things like, "if you need that crutch in your life suit yourself". What is wrong with principles that refer to love and harmony, since all humans seek this one way or another? It's like saying the love you feel for your girlfriend is pointless, even though we all have the natural desire for human effection. To be ethnocentric of others religious beliefs just causes a dissension between mankind. I think anthropologists have it right, they study all the cultures and religions with culturual relativism. They live in the culture and study it for years to understand the meanings behind such practices/rituals/rites.

This is all evidence gathered on marijuana over the years, most are scientific studies done in the UK, since it is illegal to study/research in the United States, evidence used from the USA is virutally useless, while others discredit a lot of these studies, saying "they weren't performed in a "controlled environment". http://www.skunked.co.uk/articles/medicinal-marijuana.htm http://www.salem-news.com/articles/december162010/oz-pot-pl.php AIDS Wasting Syndrome The involuntary loss of 10 percent of body weight or more that is not attributable to other disease processes. It is critical for HIV and AIDS patients to maintain a healthy appetite and body weight to avoid opportunistic infections. Medical cannabis appears to help counter the appetite loss, nausea, and pain associated with HIV and AIDS and their commonly prescribed medications. Medical organizations specializing in AIDS research are some of strongest advocates for legalizing medical cannabis, calling it "potentially lifesaving medicine". Arthritis More than 100 inflammatory joint disorders characterized by pain, swelling, and limited movement. Arthritis involves the inflammation and degeneration of cartilage and bone that make up the joint. Experts estimate that more than 31 million people in the United States alone suffer from various degrees of the disease. Common forms of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Emerging evidence implies that cannabis can help alleviate symptoms of both conditions. Cannabis' pain reducing properties are well documented and emerging evidence indicates that it holds anti-inflammatory qualities. Dale Gieringer, author of the paper "Review of Human Studies on the Medical Use of Marijuana," cites three animal and laboratory studies documenting cannabis' potential anti-inflammatory effects. Also, a 1988 study by an British research team found the cannabinoid CBD (cannabidiol) ameliorated inflammation in mice. Brain Injury/Stroke Cannabinoids possess neuroprotective properties (1,2). Researchers at the National Institutes for Mental Health (NIMH) demonstrated in 1998 that the cannabinoids THC and cannabidiol (CBD) are potent anti-oxidants in animals. (3) Doctors rely on anti-oxidants to protect stroke and head trauma victims from exposure to toxic levels of reactive molecules, so-called "free radicals", that are produced when the brain's blood supply is cut off. Head injuries and strokes cause the release of excessive glutamate, often resulting in irreversible damage to brain cells. Multiple SclerosisAffects the central nervous system. MS exacerbations appear to be caused by abnormal immune activity that causes inflammation and the destruction of myelin (the protective covering of nerve fibers) in the brain, brain stem or spinal cord. Symptoms include muscle spasms, depression, and incontinence (involuntary loss of urine) or urinary retention. In a 1998 review article published in the journal Drug and Alcohol Review, Drs. Linda Growing et al. observed that the distribution of cannabinoid receptors in the brain suggests that they may play a role in movement control. The authors hypothesized that cannabinoids might modify the autoimmune cause of the disease. If so, it is possible that cannabis may both relieve symptoms of MS and retard its progression. Nausea associated with cancer chemotherapy A large body of clinical research exists concerning the use of cannabis and cannabinoids for chemotherapy- induced nausea and vomiting. A review of the medical literature reveals at least 31 human clinical trials examining the effects of cannabis or synthetic cannabinoids on nausea, not including several U.S. state trails that took place between 1978 and 1986. In reviewing this literature, Hall et al. concluded that "… THC [delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol] is superior to placebo, and equivalent in effectiveness to other widely-used anti-emetic drugs, in its capacity to reduce the nausea and vomiting caused by some chemotherapy regimens in some cancer patients". Anti-Tumor Effects Research indicates that cannabinoids may help protect against the development of certain types of tumors. Recently, a Spanish research team reported in Nature that injections of synthetic THC eradicated malignant brain tumors - so-called gliomas - in one-third of treated rats, and prolonged life in another third by as much as six weeks. Team leader Manuel Guzman called the results "remarkable" and speculated that they "may provide a new therapeutic approach for the treatment of malignant gliomas". An accompanying commentary remarked that this was the first convincing study to demonstrate that cannabis-based treatment may combat cancer. Other journals have also recently reported on cannabinoids' anti-tumoral potential. Asthma A breathing disorder caused by inflammation and swelling of the small airways (bronchioles) that afflicts some 10 million Americans, killing more than 4,000 annually. When the bronchioles become inflamed, swollen, and filled with mucus, the airways constrict and patients have difficulty breathing. Asthma attacks are typically treated with "bronchodilators," drugs that relax and open the bronchioles, or anti-inflammatory steroids to reduce swelling. The Australian National Task Force on Cannabis determined, "Smoked cannabis, and to a lesser extent oral THC, have an acute bronchodilatory effect in both normal persons and persons with asthma". A handful of human studies demonstrate this effect, including one that showed smoking even low THC cannabis produced bronchodilation nearly equivalent to a clinical dose of isoproterenol. The House of Lords 1998 "Ninth Report" on cannabis acknowledged that cannabinoids seemed to work as effectively as conventional asthma drug treatments. Experiments using oral THC produced a smaller bronchodilator effect after a substantial delay, and proved to be a bronchial irritant when administered as an aerosol. Epilepsy a common neurological disorder that afflicts nearly 2.5 million Americans. Patients suffering from epilepsy experience periodic, recurrent seizures triggered by the misfiring of certain brain cells. These seizures occur in various forms, ranging from mild to severe convulsions and loss of consciousness. Standard treatment for epilepsy involves anti-convulsants. While there are several studies and references by the Institute of Medicine, House of Lords Science and Technology Committee, Australian National Task Force on Cannabis, and others regarding cannabis' anti-convulsant properties, there are few human studies specific to epilepsy. A double blind controlled study on the effects of the marijuana compound cannabidiol (CBD) on epilepsy yielded favorable results. "Fifteen patients suffering from secondary generalized epilepsy with temporal focus were randomly divided into two groups. Each patient received, in a double-blind procedure, 200-300 mg daily of CBD or placebo. … All patients and volunteers tolerated CBD very well and no signs of toxicity or serious side effects were detected on examination. Four of the eight CBD subjects remained almost free of convulsive crises throughout the experiment and three other patients demonstrated partial improvement on their clinical condition". Glaucoma Disorder that results from an imbalance of pressure within the eye. Characterized by an increase in intraocular pressure (IOP) that progressively impairs vision and may lead to permanent blindness. Glaucoma remains second leading cause of blindness in the US. The aim of glaucoma treatment is to reduce interocular pressure. Several human studies demonstrate that inhaled cannabis lowers IOP in subjects with normal IOP and glaucoma. Some animal studies indicate that cannabis can also be effective when administered topically (e.g. as an eye drop.) Two of the eight legal U.S. medical marijuana patients have used government cannabis to effectively maintain their eyesight for more than a decade. Migraine a type of episodic, recurrent, severe headache lasting hours to days. Migraine is typically accompanied sensitivity to light, intolerance to loud noises, and nausea or vomiting. Surveys indicate that 15 to 25 percent of women and five to 10 percent of men suffer from migraine. A century ago, physicians commonly prescribed cannabis for migraine. Famed physician William Osler wrote that it was "probably the most satisfactory remedy" for migraine in his textbook, The Principles and Practice of Medicine. Some patients and physicians are once again showing interest in examining cannabis' potential to treat symptoms of migraine. A recent article in the medical journal Pain (Journal of the Association for the Study of Pain) concluded that "cannabis delivered … in the form of a marijuana cigarette, or 'joint,' presents the hypothetical potential for quick, effective, parenteral [non-orally administered] treatment of acute migraine." The author called cannabis a "far safer alternative" than many prescription anti-migraine drugs, and reported that a large percentage of migraine sufferers fail to respond or cannot tolerate standard therapies. Schizophrenia Cannabis' impact on patients suffering from schizophrenia is not well understood and often disputed. The Australian National Task Force on Cannabis cites anecdotal clinical evidence that "schizophrenic patients who use cannabis and other drugs experience exacerbations of symptoms, and have a worse clinical course, with more frequent psychotic episodes than those who do not". However, the researchers admit that "very few well controlled studies" have documented this relationship. In his book Marihuana The Forbidden Medicine, Dr. Lester Grinspoon (with James Bakalar) cites a pair of studies that found schizophrenic patients who used cannabis responded better to the disease than nonusers. One study reported that patients who smoked marijuana had "fewer delusions and, above all, fewer of the so-called negative symptoms, which include apathy, limited speech, and emotional unresponsiveness." The other study concluded that those who used cannabis had a "lower rate of hospital admissions than those who used no drugs at all. The paticipants said that cannabis helped them with anxiety, depression, and insomnia." Grinspoon also notes that in his own clinical experience, schizophrenics who regularly use cannabis generally regard it as helpful. Eating Disorders Survey data beginning in 1970 demonstrated a strong relationship between inhaling marijuana and increased appetite. This data also found a majority of cannabis users reporting that "marijuana made them enjoy eating very much and that they consequently ate a lot more.") Cannabis is also documented to enhance the sensory appeal of foods. Several human trials have established cannabis' ability to stimulate food intake and weight gain in healthy volunteers. Dr. Leo Hollister of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Palo Alto, California presided over two separate experiments that found "total food intake, as well as reports of hunger and appetite, are increased … after oral administration of marihuana." A later trial of 27 cannabis smokers and ten controls concluded that marijuana smokers ate more and gained more weight than non-smokers after 21 days in a hospital research ward. The cannabis-smoking group immediately began eating less after ceasing their marijuana use. General Pain Sensation of physical discomfort, mental anguish, or suffering caused by aggravation of the sensory nerves. It remains the most common symptom for which patients seek therapeutic relief. Cannabis has historically been used as an analgesic, and was commonly prescribed by physicians in England and America in the 19th and 20th centuries. Many researchers now believe that cannabinoids hold promise as safe and effective pain reducers with no physical-dependence-inducing properties. Authors of the 1999 Institute of Medicine (IOM) report, "Marijuana as Medicine: Assessing the Science Base," describe three types of pain that may be ameliorated by cannabinoids: somatic pain, visceral pain, and neuropathic pain. Researchers appear most interested in examining cannabis' ability to relieve neuropathic pain, which results from injury to nerves, peripheral receptors, or the central nervous system, because it is often resistant to standard opioids.

Libitinarius replied to Koby's topic in Broadcast Station
I would love to collaborate with another staff member on "The best and worst previews of the week", one of us could do the worst, the other the best. We could pick through everything as a team, maybe get a staff chat room going to swap ideas and possibly phone numbers! Rawr! J.k!! No really though, teamwork is key to making an awesome site! I am not going to go back on my word, I will definitely bring Sasuke back! -
1.) Weed should be reserved for people going through Chemotherapy, and people over the age of 30 who are responsible enough to handle smoking. 2.) Are drugs bad? Yes, but weed effects the nerve receptors in your brain that have to do with experiencing pain, so they are perscribed for legit reasons. 3.) I have seen upstanding contributing Americans who smoke weed on a daily basis, the problem is most people cannot hold their mug in society. I am all for consenting "adults" having the option to not fill their mouths with 9 pills of prescription medicine; having weed as an alternative option to their pain-killers. 4.) Do I smoke it? No, but that's only because I have to revisit the coroners office frequently. 5.) Cigarettes and Alcohol kill more people a year then Crack, Heroin, and Cocaine combined. Those are the drugs getting people killed, the cops waste too much money rading over weed. 6.) Weed would bring in an excellent revenue to states as our economy continues to slump, I just know people are not mature enough to handle it.

I think where the confusion came in is others thought they were "Trying-out" for the position. That's why I asked the other day on your wall if I should post on there again. Another question, should we refrain from injecting our own opinion into these articles? What's your take? -

PROPHECY (working title).........
Libitinarius replied to Kinara Uzumaki's topic in Art and Literature
You are a very good writer Kinara, I like the character variety and how we didn't have to wait long for action, gloom, and doom to arrive. I am trying to picture the physical characteristics of your main characters. How do they differ from humans in their original form? And can you tell me more about your mystical world? -
Your Highness (2011) unrated. I recommend this movie, it had me rolling the entire time. Especially when he cuts off the minotaurs penis and takes it as a trophy, he then proceeds to try and give it to the warrior chick as a parting gift. Priceless.

Do you think 3 Legendary sanin are overrated? [SPOILERS]
Libitinarius replied to Diablo's topic in Anime District
Their roles as mentors were invaluable. All the strongest characters now stem from their tutelage, Naruto, Kabuto, Sasuke, Nagato, even Minato. Are there stronger enemies out there? Well, Nagato aka Pain wouldn't of been in the conversation had it not been for Jiraiya's pity taken on them as orphans. -
Tool, Lateralus. Beautiful album, which stresses harmony with ones self. Also back in my grunge days, Nirvana- In Utero. The album artwork in these was great too, as far as cover and inside the cd case.

I think Dom and Sachie will try to snag the Unicorn when she arrives at the park. They are in too deep with Marcellino, and if they defy him, they know they will end up dead. Perhaps the Unicorn will get away, or try to help defend Jenovette. But she is already wanted by the Marcellino, so I am guessing Sachie will freak out if Dom tries to let her go.

Yeah, you're right. Had this idea in my head all week. I wanted to go through more of the details of Suzanne and Iota. I had the idea of unravelling their stories as I go along, but it's also hard to care about them when you haven't given the audience any form of attachment. Thanks, I definitely respect your opinion!

Chapter 2: The Crazy old Man “Suzanne is alive. Though her body is dead in this realm, her soul resurrects in another.” The old man eye twitches as he continues. “You couldn’t possibly understand the forces at work here, this was no coincidence. Suzanne vanishes, and what did the police discover? A corpse with dark circles enflamed around her eyes?” This time Iota couldn’t help but wonder how this old man knew so much information regarding Suzanne’s disappearance 10 months ago. Her body found dragged into a forest area 100 miles away from where she was suppose to be that day. The coroner could never determine the cause of death. “Who are you?” Iota attempts to collect his thoughts wiping the tears and snot from his face. “I am a spirit walker. My name is Artos, I will help guide you along the journey ahead.” “You expect me to believe this bullshit old man? You’re probably some bum off the street who dug through my trashcan and stole my identity.” “Hahaha. Funny boy, but this is no joke. Listen, and listen carefully. Suzanne is in another plain, you must die by your own hand if you wish to see Suzanne again. There are other worlds such as this one, but only a select few can walk between them. I am not the only one who has such powers; there is another, an evil entity who wishes to stop you from what you must accomplish.” “And what might that be, you raving lunatic? Are you off your medication, did you escape from the mental ward?” “You must find Suzanne, only your love can save this dying universe. You must travel from plain to plain until you find her. You will soon discover there is much more to your ancestors then what you realize.”

Solitude of the Seven Seas Chapter 1 ~ Iota’s Sorrow San Francisco, California, the year is 1994. “I love you Iota”. Her soft voice carried through the living room, as she collected her keys and purse. Iota half paying attention sitting on the couch, watching the news on the television that Kurt Cobain committed suicide. He mumbled to himself, “Can you believe these celebrities nowadays Suzanne? Millionaires, they have it all, yet, so eager to throw their lives away.” He turned to look and noticed an irritated look on Suzanne’s face from being ignored. “Huh? Oh, you be careful Suzanne. Call me when you’re off work.” “You worry too much Iota”. She sarcastically chuckled, irritably walking out the door of their apartment. That would be the last time Iota ever saw Suzanne alive. The blistering night wind seemed to add to the drop in his body temperature as the tears rolled down his face. Iota could feel the damp squish of the grass beneath his body, the moisture from the grass seeping into his clothes; he began to speak aloud to the night sky in front of her tombstone. “Dammit! I didn’t even get to tell her I loved her. Why god?! Why was I so fucking nonchalant!?” He balled his fists in anger, clenching the grass and mud into his palms. Iota could feel the anger beating violently through his chest cavity, the strain on the carotid arteries in his neck. Iota reached to touch her tombstone, softly stroking the engraving of her name. “Cursing the God’s won’t bring her back Iota.” Said an eerie voice hidden somewhere in the cemetery. “What the fuck do you know about it? Leave me alone, whoever you are! I’m warning you!” Iota’s blood pressure raced even higher, his head felt like it was going to explode at any second. He seemed to ignore the fact this dark figure knew his name. “Well for one, ‘I know’ the God’s from above aren’t to blame for this, but the demons below.” The eerie voice revealed its true form. An old baldheaded man wearing a white scarf and kaki jacket stepped out of the shadow. The man seemed to have more hair growing out of his ears then on his head. Iota ignored his features as the man began to approach him.
