  2. This is just a short story I have to compose for my homework... and my teacher is going to get it published (not distributed) like printed and stuff and I want feedback! :)

    ----------------------

Even if I never escape this place, I’m not going to change, thought Heather as she rolled a piece of ceiling plaster between her fingers.

The pale grey walls of the orphanage surrounded her in her corner.

The counsellor sat at her desk, watching Heather in her corner, rolling the ceiling plaster in her fingers, writing down notes on her clipboard.

Heather could feel eyes staring at her. She glanced up and saw the counsellor staring at her with a warm, kind smile. Heather didn’t return the smile. She glumly looked at the counsellor for a few seconds, and then went back to rolling her ceiling plaster.

‘Why don’t you talk to me, Heather? I’m here to help you. I’m your friend.’ The counsellor’s voice calmly spoke. Heather stopped rolling her plaster in between her fingers and sat, silent.

‘Get lost, lady. You aren’t my friend. Don’t act like you care about an orphan. You have sat at that desk and talked to many others like me.’ Heather replied. ‘Heather-’ began the counsellor. ‘No.’ Heather interrupted her halfway. ‘You can spend this whole afternoon sitting there and writing down notes about me like I am an animal in an exhibition. See if I care. I am not going to tell a mere stranger all about myself.’ Heather glared at the counsellor. The counsellor wrote down some words on her clipboard, and then flipped the page, to reveal a nice, clean white piece of paper. ‘If you think you can get me to fill up an entire piece of A4 paper with my thoughts then you really must be as stupid as I assumed.' Heather retorted, throwing the ceiling plaster across the carpet.

'I think maybe that's enough for today, don't you think?' murmured the counsellor as she picked up her papers. 'Meh.' was all that came out of Heather's mouth. Well I didn't talk anyway, Heather thought for a moment before the counsellor opened the door to allow her out. Heather stood up and walked out the door, not once looking back to see the face of her counsellor.

The orphanage's corridors were long, dull and boring, and Heather hated them. She had lost count of the number of times she had walked through them.

The paintings on the walls were paintings that had been painted by the kids at the orphanage themselves.

  3. Silent Hill is set in a multiverse consisting of reality and two alternate dimensions whose form is based on the series' eponymous fictional American town. The series is heavily influenced by the literary genre of psychological horror, with its player characters being mostly "everymen"

Silent Hill is the first installment in the series and was released in 1999 for the PlayStation. In 2009, the game became available for download from the European PlayStation Network store for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Portable and later, in the same year, from the North American PlayStation Network store.[3][4] Silent Hill follows Harry Mason as he searches for his missing adopted daughter in the series' multiverse; stumbling upon a cult conducting a ritual to revive a deity it worships, he discovers her true origin. Five game endings are possible, depending on in-game actions taken by the player, including one joke ending.

I for one love the fact that the game has different endings, it gives the player the feel of independence when playing, but it's scary too when you think about it. Every action you do will affect the ending of the game, good ending or bad ending, so called.

The monsters are also eerily extraordinary. As the series has progressed, new monsters have been introduced, graphics have improved, thus making gameplay even scarier.

I was creeped out by the entire game series itself. All of this blood, gore, scary monsters, and when there is silence and then BANG! something interesting or scary happens and you jump in your seat.

What is your opinion? Is Silent Hill or was Silent Hill the scariest or a scary game series? What are your thoughts?

  4. I started and stopped at Episode 13.

They said the anime was all romance, when the only real thing I found romantic was how the Ouran host club member's treated the girls. Thats basically about it. There was one episode with Haruhi and Tamaki when Haruhi was scared of thunder or something, that's probably the best one.

It wasn't the worst anime I've watched, but it certainly wasn't the best. it dragged on, and it needed more of a storyline, not a different scenario and drama every episode.

  5. I am petrified of Silent Hill. It was fricken epic though.

The movie was also freaky, but the one thing that really scared me about everything was those sirens!

When the sirens ring and the monsters come looking for people, that creeped me out.

  6. Well that depends on the length of the anime, and if I am really interested in it at all, really.

there was one stage when I watched a full 12 episode anime, from 3:30 to 9:30, 6 hours of anime watching. I sat on my floor with my laptop and watched, it, only stopping to get dinner and go to the toilet, and I had to wake up early the next day to have a shower.

I can watch a full 12-13 episode season of anime in a day, and, if I have no interruptions, I reckon I can probably pull off 25-26 episodes.

  7. I believe the odds of Megaupload returning are severely slim. Why? The government took it down and all that, and although their acts may be dead like SOPA and PIPA, they still have control on whether or not the sites that were taken down will return again, in this case Megaupload.

if Megaupload returns, they'll probably have some weird thing to come back eith it, like required registration, licenses and such.

It would be great to have MU back, but I'm not getting my hopes up when I will most likely end up being disappointed.

  8. i like this forum you've converted to, it looks great.

Any chance of getting donator status back for those of us who did donate?

Yes, Koby said he is working on it, and if you do not get your Donator status back, message him with the email you used to donate with.
