My first videogame was Twinbee for the Famicom.
In Latin America the first console ever was the Famicom (AKA the "nintendo Asia") thanks to the underground chinese market. I played a lot of games that has japanese characters, really good games.
My favorite game was the pack called 1000 in one xD , I love piracy :3

I watched Shinzo and the ending was... a time lost, but that anime was part of one of my favorite channel (Latin Fox Kids) so when I remember Shinzo I remember the good times, then I watched Track city(La autopista) in the same latin Fox Kids and I lost my time as well. Even losing my time I really liked doing it in that channel.
CURSE YOU DISNEY!

Something fresh and new you will not get it because the genres of now already existed.
There are Animes that probably have not seen yet, genres that you probably have not touched.
The trend now is the fanservice but If you really want to see something completely different, you must see Animes that proves that animation is not necessarily only for children.
1-Now and Then, Here and There. This anime shows in a realistic way the horrors of war.
2-Narutaru. This anime is what Pokemon would be with a macabre twist.
3-Death Note. This anime shows what happens when someone plays with people's lives.

I would make an open world game that had billboards everywhere saying F!@# you ESRB and feminist groups and allow the player to do anything from committing random acts of violence unrestricted by age and engage in frivolous acts of interactive uncensored sex...one can dream can't he?
That game whitout the part of "interactive uncensored sex" is Postal 2.
-I would like a game that mix genres. Examples: I played a pc game called Deus Ex that is a mix of "First-person shooter" with "RPG" elements and for the Snes I played a game called Rendering Ranger R2 that is a mix of "Run and gun" and "Scrolling shooter".
-For the theme, I would like a dark and gritty reboot of a family friendly story or game. Example: American McGee's Alice.
-With disturbing imagery. Example: Demonophobia.
My game could be something with all the above elements.

Genshiken Temp1 and Temp2 is a slice of life of a group of otakus who play games watch Anime and read manga, but seeing that you like .Hack maybe you would enjoy more adventure animes like Hunter X Hunter,El Hazard, The Vision of Escaflowne.
-
The first was a mecha anime called Mazinger Z , then Steel Jeeg, Magne Robo Gakeen, Gaiking and Starzinger in the glorious pack called El Festival de los Robots. All in uncensored form cuz I live in Latin America and in that time the moral idiots knew a shit about anime.

I like the work Michiru Yamane in the Castlevania games.
These are my favorites:
-Symphony of the Night
-Dawn of Sorrow
-Order of Ecclesia
-Vampire killer (know as Bloodlines), the track Iron Blue intention is my fav of the 16 bit castlevania games.

Yeah i know caught it on tv the other day, i liked how accurate and brutally effective the fighting style was depicted, just like it's done not to show off in front of the audience, but for real.

Anime+Hollywood=Epic Fail.
Live Action
Fixed
Well, I lost the hope in Hollywood a long time ago.

Ip Man, that movie was really good. Excellent history, good fight sequences, if you like martial arts films you must watch this movie, also check Ip man 2 and the prequel Ip man 3.
-
I think that the director will lengthen the second part with a lot of flashbacks, extended fights and "new" material from Rowling. It could be great or awful.
Is a 50-50 risk.

Season 2 of Rozen Maiden is a filler well done. I really liked, but is a total world apart from the manga.
The Asgard Arc in Saint Seiya is another example of a filler well done. Here in the south Saint Seiya is very popular.
-
Darkfall: The Journal, that game has a creepy atmosphere and is full of scary moments.
-
I will never forged the time when a friend invited me to play with his 3DO... the game was "Way of the Warrior" and was a bad imitation of Mortal Kombat (one of my favorites in the nineties).

the best "Cartoons" of the 80 were of Japanese animation studios, Cartoons like:
G.I. Joe
M.A.S.K.
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors.
The Transformers.
SilverHawks.
Thundercats.
Ulysses 31 (Franco-Japanese)
ETC.
These Cartoons are the best example of collaboration done well. American scripts with Japanese animation worked quite well.
In the nineties the animation by computers infected the cartoons and the real american animation surfaced with stupid plots, moral fillers and mediocre drawing and animation.
Do you prefer the shorter anime or the longer anime?

I like when the Anime follow the Manga and that means a lot of chapters but I enjoy more the short animes.
examples:
-Short Anime: Kannazuki no Miko
-Longer Anime: Death Note
