  1. I guess when starting off I always tend to listen to the dub first and as long as it's reasonable I'll watch that. If it's terrible I'll go sub. I think a lot of the time though people get used to what they watched the first time. I first watched Darker than Black subbed and when I heard it dubbed I thought it just sounded horrible but my friend thought it was ok.
  2. This the best news I heard all week! I admit I haven't played that many of them (really only Abyss all the way through) but I really loved that game and I'm already exciting for Tales of Graces f coming very soon!
  3. Surely the full metal alchemist series will both be remembered, they're both some of the best out there. Unless the first series is already counted as a classic, I dunno Most of the ones I would like as classics probably aren't to standard shonen tastes though (hate bleach and naruto) and haven't been seen by that many: eden of the east, durarara, darker than black
  4. Aww I loved 12 actually, I think it's probably my joint favourite with 10. That may have something to do with those being the first two I played though. They were both very different, I guess 12 isn't quite as character focused and Vaan was a terrible character. I'm not an old school final fantasy fan though, I much prefer the 3d ones over the 2d ones (although I still haven't gotten around the playing VI) as I can't stand grinding and random battles unless the battle system is actually varied (I know there's still some of that in most of the them but it seemed toned down to me). I really enjoyed the battle system in 12 though, although I did struggle at some of the bosses as I only trained 3/6 of the characters. To be honest I don't think any of them are overrated really, I really enjoyed VII and when I finished it I said "That's my favourite FF ever!" but I change my mind a lot.
  5. I was enjoying FF4 quite a lot until I got to the tower with Barbariccia and then I just got stomped so I gave up. Kind of a shame but I never enjoyed the 2d ones as much because they always seemed a bit grindy...
  6. I think most of the games have some really great areas of scenery. Overall I think FF10 was probably the best as it was quite different and imaginative but I did enjoy FF12 as well at certain bits: Ridorana Cataract always seemed really magical to me even though you only see it for about two seconds and I loved the feel of Rabanastre as well. I guess 13 had some nice places as well like Oerba but nothing too special I can remember...actually now I think about it I did love the Gapra Whitewood, I thought the scenery and the music were both really great there
  7. When I first saw the title I thought "No!!!" but then I saw the picture. I guess anime style characters must just always look appealing to me, but the older characters like remus look too young in that picture, and snape is really short! Still I think it would definitely be a bit strange
  8. I've been playing it a while now, big improvement on 4 imo. At the moment Tira is my favourite, her psychotic tendencies seem to have grown on me since the last game. I haven't been able to play it online yet though, really want to.
  9. I'll fly the face of all the naruto lovers and say that I much prefered Nabari no Ou to Naruto. Less action but more thoughtful and concise and I loved so many of the characters. Still need to watch Samurai Champloo....
  10. I don't think I would have had much fun with it if I hadn't seen Naruto already, but why would you pick it up if you hadn't really? I never had very high expectations though so I was always pleasantly surprised that it was actually reasonable.
  11. I think I'm probably just OCD about it but I always watch the openings at least, I just feel it gets me in the mood...certain openings especially I just love, Drrr!! and Code Geass R2 etc. Endings I might skip though, I normally find them less interesting and I like fewer of the songs
  12. In no particular order... 1. Durarara!! 2. Code Geass 3. Full Metal Alchemist 4. Cowboy Bebop 5. Eden of the East Although I guess that's influenced by how much I enjoyed them. Worst dub: Darker than Black, although I haven't heard any truely terrible dubs, I didn't have to hear much of this to go sub....
  13. I really don't think it's overrated at all. I haven't analysed it that much so I haven't really thought about any of the flaws but what I really loved was how I could relate to each side in equal amounts, there was no defined good and evil like there was in for example Soul Eater. It is similar to the reason why I love nabari no ou, I really liked most of, if not all, the characters so I was always interested to see how they would act when in conflict with each other.
  14. Pretty difficult to rank them...I think mine would be something like this: 1. Code Geass 2. Full Metal Alchemist 3. Nabari no Ou 4. Darker than Black 5. Cowboy Bebop/Soul Eater
  15. Definitely darker than black, also glad the new season of code geass will be dealing with some new characters, I think the ending of r2 was pretty final
  16. Too many to choose from but if I had to, probably Kallen from Code Geass, just because she's determined and strong and can even rival Suzaku in terms of piloting skills. Especially liked her fights in season 2 with the upgraded guren.
  17. Code Geass R2 episode 25, I can't believe I stopped myself from watching it for so long because I thought I wouldn't like mecha...Next up is gundam 00....
