  1. I have to agree with Koby; I really like when characters in anime have emotion and make you feel something for them.

That said, I usually watch more action based stuff, but usually when the main character is placed in very hard situations doesn't really seem to be in control all the time.

  2. I don't think it's just a gimmick, I mean it'll most likely always be around based on it's success right now. But it's definitely not the future. Even if they come out with a game with full one to one motion, without force feedback it still feels like you're just swinging around a piece of plastic. I become much more immersed in a game using a controller with well mapped controls.

It's a good idea, but it's really more of a casual gamer's thing.

  3. When it comes to JRPGs I prefer turn based for sure. The basic turn based action in Lost Oddysey was well done. But my favourit would probably be the Tactical Arts System in Legend of Legaia and Legend of Legaia 2. The first game is much better than the second, but the battle system is still awesome.

  4. Fullmetal alchemist will always be my favourite. It was actually the first dubbed anime I watched in full.

But Naruto definitely deserves mention for getting me into anime in the first place.

  5. I can see how the distinction could be unnoticable to people who haven't really been exposed to anime for a long period of time.

I mean, when I was a kid I had no idea that Dragonball Z was any different than any of the other cartoons I watched in the morning.

I think people only start to see anime differently once they see more adult oriented ones.

American cartoons for adults are pretty much just for comedy, where as anime has a lot of very serious adult themes.
