Anime or Manga?

I like anime better i tried to read manga a few months ago (a Dragon Ball one) and only got halfway through before i gave up i just don't like reading, never have so i stick to anime

I'm going with Anime. The manga is alright, but I'd like to actually hear the characters' voices, along with watching a motion picture in color. :]

I prefer the anime but let's say there's another story or follow up to the anime that's only in manga form then I'll definitly read the manga or if the anime is to censored i.e any thing that 4kids has released.

i like anime better than manga...at least i can see the characters moving...but i admit that most of the times manga is better than anime in terms of art...

I like anime better because I can see the characters moving and I can see if the voices I imagined in the manga are similar to the voices in the anime

While both genres have greatly grown on me in the last few years I have found myself more drawn to Anime because of the rich colors, diversity, and the differences in it that are just not represented in Manga. I own several manga (primarily Warcraft ones) that just are not as enjoyable as seeing Sailor Moon or Sasami fighting some creature. While manga can be fun because you can become the character and fill in your own gaps due to imagination Anime just is more visually appealing to me.

Manga just ruins action scenes for me, I don't know why it just doesn't play out right in my head or something. For that I definitely prefer Anime, though if it is a series with next to no fight scenes... That still ended up being good, I wouldn't mind Manga.

I always prefer the anime...but sometimes I just can't wait enough and I head over to the manga....especially when it comes to Naruto Shippuden....

i only read a few reply's to this trend so idk if this was asked yet, but if you someone who reads the manga then watch's the anime (and let me add that ur with someone who just watches the anime only) do u state what is different or added in the anime that wasn't in the manga? i want to start reading some mangas but i just haven't got around to it, and i have a friend who is reading Bleach & Shippuden so whenever i watch a ep with him hes always running it for me by saying stuff like "that didn't happen in the manga". (then he continues to tell what was in the book tell i tell him to shut up) or "they made that so much longer in the anime, it wasn't that long of a fight in the book". so does anyone know ppl who do this, or is my friend just a jack ass who likes to spoil things for me?

i love love love to read so,.. it would have to be manga for me. but, it's also nice to actually see the characters in action once in a while.

This is hard, sometimes i prefer the anime because it has better art and i like seeing the characters but most of the time I prefer the manga because it was original and has more of a complete story most of the time.

I think I've answered here awhile ago but just wanted to add that now I read manga only when the end of the anime is bad, when they stop making a particular anime though it has a lot more happenings in the manga. I hate when they leave us hanging like that. >.<

Oh, tough call, I grew up with the anime and only started with the manga a few years ago. I'd have to say Manga though, I've found several that the anime doesn't do justice for such as Negima, Venus Versus Virus, Fruits Baskets, and so on. I still like to watch the anime just as much but some cases the manga is far better then the anime.

It really depends on the show/manga for me. Some I enjoy more than the other but I always do love watching animated adaptation of my favorite manga series but some will not nearly be as good due to the fact of it being short to filler.

For now I'll say manga.

I like both I have a ton of manga and a ton of anime. I don't mind reading but I love getting to see my favorite mangas turned into anime, because sometimes it's nice not to have to read and still getting to see a really good storyline!

I like the manga cause you know it's always what the author intended it to be. With the anime, you always get fillers and things the author can't control, and it gets out of hand. Just like the first FMA anime, that was a complete disaster. Brotherhood is really good, but I still prefer manga of anime any day. Also..... the books smell good XD

Manga. I liked to save the pages that have my favorite characters on them and color them. That, and manga seems a bit more personal to me.

Manga definitely. Cause it's the original story, like many others have said, and because it's a lot faster than anime, in my opinion. I also hate fillers. Anime is only better, if it was made first; Example: Code Geass, it was made as an anime first.

I don't think either of them are better because one is always an adaptation of the other and adaptations are never exactly the same so you couldn't really compare them. I usually watch the anime first and then buy the manga if I liked the anime because I really hate reading books on the computer. XD

How can people chose manga over anime?

Yeah I get it mangas are more complete and all. But IMO, It's somewhat the same as picking a CD over a USB. this is just another proof how technology is getting better and better, and I think this is just one of those transitions that are difficult for other people to accept.
