Magic godparents can be canceled by Nickelodeon

The Fairly OddParents is at high risk of cancellation by Nickelodeon. The suspicion comes from the fact that new episodes of the series have been moved to the NickToons channel in the United States, as announced by Nick and More.

 

In the history of Nickelodeon, all series that had their premieres moved to the secondary channel (NickToons) was canceled. The suspicion is even greater when we look at the ratings of the 10th season of the series, which shows a significant drop over the past seasons.

 

Even the series animation style changed in the middle of the season, and switched digital painting flash animation, supposedly cheapening production costs.

 

The situation is worrying, since it compares the failure of recent seasons of Fairly OddParents with newcomer The Loud House, which is already considered successful and has a high number of fans, and the new season of SpongeBob has scored high audience ratings.

 

The future of the series is uncertain, and Nickelodeon has not yet made any announcement about, but at the moment the most likely is that the series has its last episodes aired in NickToons and be canceled, as well as with other designs of nick that were moved to brother channel as Invader Zim, One Teenage Robot, El Tigre, Fanboy and Chum Chum, Sheen Planet, TUFF Puppy, and Harvey Beaks.

Kind of. It was canceled in a nice way (where the creator was made aware of it ending and could plan last season accordingly), but less than 2 years later they picked it back up for a "Revival". I don't think the revival series has done very well though, and seems to be getting worse and worse ratings with each new season so it probably just needs to die.

To be fair, I much prefer shows getting cancelled instead of having them turn to crap.

I think the feeling of "This show was awesome" is infinitely better than "I wish this show was still awesome".

The show has changed alot and I rather as well have it canned, I do want Danny Phantom back though

While I agree it's a great shows, I don't think any other Nick animation grabbed me by the heart from start to finish like The Thornberry's Movie

I remember Fairly OddParents when I was growing up. And it was good back then, before getting canceled and having live-action tv movies... for some reason. Then a revival happened somehow, and it all went downhill after that. So... I'm not surprised to hear about it getting canceled again. Honestly, it should just stop.

It seems a bit different, but not too off. I was thinking the style had changed.

All those tweens hurt my eyes . I don't mind flash animation in and of itself, but when cartoons have been produced in both traditional animation and flash (i.e. Johnny Test, Chaotic, Arthur, etc.) the difference is jarring. If the budget is getting cut enough that the production has to be switched to flash to keep going, I think that the cartoon should just be cancelled.

Also, wasn't Hartman going to cancel the show with the Timmy Turner/Jimmy Neutron Power Hour 3 anyways?
