Dervell
A while back it was announced that Ukyō Kodachi and Mikie Ikemoto's Boruto manga is getting a new anime that will premiere in April 2017. Kodachi and Ikemoto launched the Boruto manga in Weekly Shonen Jump on May 9, based on and as a sequel to Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga. Boruto's titular main character is the protagonist of the Boruto -Naruto the Movie- anime film, and the manga has so far been an adaptation of that film. This year's Jump Special Anime Festa screening event screened a Boruto-related anime in theaters across Japan on November 27 and December 4. Boruto-related content is also featured in Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto, Bandai Namco Entertainment's upcoming expansion for the Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 game. TV Tokyo opened a website on Saturday to reveal the key visual, cast, and promotional video for the upcoming new Boruto anime series, titled Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. The television anime series will premiere in April. Crunchyroll is streaming the promotional video on Twitter with English subtitles. The anime stars the following returning cast members: Yuko Sanpei as Boruto Uzumaki Kokoro Kikuchi as Sarada Uchiha Ryūichi Kijima as Mitsuki Junko Takeuchi as Naruto Uzumaki
normalsomeplace
I don't think this series will extend as long as Naruto. The sheer vastness in the number of Shippuden episodes is astonishing.

More than half of Shippuuden is filler though, and honestly if they're starting Boruto this spring then only two possibilities exist: It'll also end up with a lot of filler, or they'll not run it as a never-ending shounen. Because there is no way there will be enough manga chapters out by this spring to prevent them from catching up with the manga before the end of the year is up (actually would happen much sooner).

I feel just the huge success of Naruto is what made Shippuden 75% filler anime. C'mon flash backs to when you are younger are better told when they happened , or maybe the writer did not plan that far along.Maybe they will learn from their mistakes . OH ! This is my first post at Kametsu....
