'Terra Formars' Anime Sequel Announced

It will be revealed in the 38th issue of Weekly Young Jump magazine this year that an anime sequel of Terra Formars has been green-lit. The upcoming magazine issue will provide more information.

Previously, the series was adapted into an animated TV series and OVA. A live-action film is also scheduled to premiere in 2016. The series is based on the manga of the same name written by Yu Sasuga and illustrated by Kenichi Tachibana. The first season aired from September 27, 2014 to December 20, 2014 and ran for a total of 13 episodes.

'Terra Formars Revenge' to Premiere in Spring 2016

A scan from the 50th issue of Weekly Young Jump magazine, to be released on November 12, is announcing that the second season of Terra Formars, titled Terra Formars Revenge, will be produced by LIDENFILMS and TYO Animations. New staff members will be involved with the production, while cast members from the first season will reprise their roles. The series is expected to broadcast in April 2016.

Terra Formars is written by Yu Sasuga and drawn by Kenichi Tachibana. It began serialization in Young Jump in January 2011. The series received its first anime adaptation by LIDENFILMS, and aired in September 2014 for a total of 13 episodes.
