Do you watch OP & ED?

I always watch the Op's for an anime just because it always makes me closer to the anime but i guess i do tend to skip them after the 4th episode but if i normally watch them whenever im not in a rush to finish the anime (Fav anime op is either Code geass 2nd op)

I never thought of that but they do reveal a bit of the story. If the theme songs are good or has good pictures then I can't stop myself from watching them.

I usually listen to it once at first, then I hurry to get to the next episode.I may listen to it again, but when i'm watching a show, I want to see what happens.I like a lot of the music though, I just like to listen to it separately.

I watch for a couple episodes usually to see how they are. If they're catchy enough (like the R+V Capu2 OP) or if they tend to change/be funny (like Sekirei ED, Minato flying with a different character, then dreaming about them hugging him), then I may watch more often. Beyond that I hit skip and get to the story.

i try to watch them at lest once. if the song is good ill listen to it almost all the time. but if the song is just ok or crap ill skip it. or ill skip it if i just wanna watch the next ep really badly

I only watch opening and ending if there good like i skip them normally but i always wtched opening for devil may cry and cowboy bebop and always watch ending to Welcome to the NHK cuz it was crazy funny =]

Once i start a new anime or currently watching one i prefer not to watch the opening or ending theme songs because they reveal too much than the should and end up spoiling the fun ahead. I only watch them after i complete the anime that am watching.

If you haven't already watched it, the opening to Gun X Sword gives absolutely nothing away because it silhouette's the characters that haven't appeared in the series yet. It shows them in the opening only after the episodes you see them appear in.

If they're good, if they add something to the experience of watching the show, and if they somehow reflect the content in the show, all things that anime OPs and EDs tend not to do. I always watch the ones in Higurashi, Serial Experiments Lain, and Ga-Rei Zero. Excellent ones pop up here and there thankfully.

depends on the op/ed. if i like the op i will always watch it, if i dont I'll skip it. However, when it comes to EDs, there are only a few that I have actually listened too.

If I like the song within the first few episodes, I will sometimes watch it. Even then though, I will usually skip it after and get the song itself.

Ergo Proxy did exactly that with the first ep. It cut out the OP and I think the ED, but can't remember offhand. It was actually a really nice pace for starting an anime.

of course if you didn't watch the opening you cannot understand the anime some anime are like that but the others have a flashbacks so they can watch what they miss..

On the topic, that depends whether the opening was before the intro part or after. If it is after then i usually feel a drag to get up again to skip it so i end up watching it (why do you think i have so many fav openings lol). In all, i rarely skip opening, only for those shows with large number of episodes and where opening doesnt change at all. Shockingly, i sometimes grow bored of them in such cases. ^.^

I only watch them on the first episode then skip them on all the other episodes, The only series i watched the opening on all episodes was Samurai Champloo as i liked the song, lol.

I pretty much always watch the OP unless I absolutely can't stand the song. With a few exceptions, I've never had anything spoiled. I feel like they get me in the mindset for the show/get me pumped for what's coming up, even if I've already watch dozens of episodes in a row that day... I only ever really watch the ED on the last episode of a series, partly just to get some closure, and partly because shows tend to do special things during/after the last episode's ED.

I usually watch them once through. If I happen to particularly like it, I'll probably watch it more often. However, I don't like it when it seems to give away information. That just leaves me frustrated like "Do I know what I think I know?"

I used to watch the OP and ED before I checked out the show, but now I just watch them while I watch the series

But if I'm REALLY interested/curious about the show I'll check out the OP

If I like the music, I'll watch the OP/ED. If not, I'll skip it. It has more to do with my toleration of the songs rather than the animations themselves since they generally don't spoil anything and even if they did, I don't really care if I'm spoiled or not.

Yes I do! I just feel that an episode is incomplete without its OP and ED songs. It also serves as my break between episodes most especially when I'm streaming.

I love the opening and endings of anime. My favorites to this day are Battlecry/Shiki No Uta from Samurai Champloo. The entire soundtrack for that show was awesome though.

I also like a lot of the ones from Naruto, Bleach, and Eureka Seven.
