It's that time again-- another Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament is upon us. So come sign up now to participate! I'll post the brackets and such once sign-ups are finished.

If you wanna enter, post in this thread and include your username on "Dueling Network".

Rules

  • No cheating. This is just for fun.
  • Those who are paired up should contact each other via PM's to decide when to hold the duel.
  • Each Duel will have 3 Rounds with the winner being the one who wins the best 2 outta 3.
  • The September 1, 2011 ban list will be used.
  • Side Deck's are allowed but a person must use one deck for the entirety of the tournament. Choose wisely.
  • If a duelist doesn't return a PM of his opponent on when the match will be within 24 hours, that duelist will be disqualified and the other one will win by default. Also, matches should take place within a maximum of 3 days after they've been announced. This is to make sure that if a duelist isn't interested anymore, we can save some time.
  • Duelists need to change rooms after each duel (Can't just re-shuffle the Deck and go again in the same room).
  • Both Duelists have to post here after each duel stating whether they won or loss and how much. (ex. 2-1, 2-0, 0-2, 1-2, etc..)

In the Preliminaries it will be a Round Robin. Everyone duels every body best out of three. You get one point for each win, but if you win both the first and 2nd duel then you earn 3 points. The way Round Robin is set up it doesn't really matter who wins the most of duels in the match-- it's all about the points earned in the end.

At the end of the rounds, all the points are added up. Depending on the amount of players we'll eliminate down to either the top 8 or 6 (possibly, could be more) duelists based on points and move on to the next round.

The finals will be double elimination. Duels will still be held best out of three. Meaning if you lose you still have a chance as losers will be placed in a bottom bracket and duel other duelist who lost. In the Championship duel it will be against the one who beat all the losers and the duelist that never lost (if the duelist who hasn't ever lost, losses the Championship match, they re-duel again, as that duelist hasn't lost yet, and that's how Double Elimination is).

This setup should allow for some fun duels, give everyone a chance to play everyone, and truly show who is the top duelist among us. If it sounds confusing don't worry, it'll be easier to understand once you see the bracket. So join the tournament now!

In this round it's simple Round Robin, meaning you play every single duelist that has registered and you do so in a best of three match. After each duel you post here confirming whether you won the first two (meaning you win the match without a third duel required), you won the first and third match, you lost the first two, or you lost the second match, etc..

Simply post here with the name of the duelist you faced and the result.

Example: Ikki posts: Faced Koby, result was 1-2 (won one, lost two).

Both duelists should post here to confirm what the other said.

I'll add up the points based on that and once every single duel is played the points will be tallied up and the duelist ranked accordingly. Since we have 16 duelists (that's a nice number), we'll eliminate down to 12 for the finals.

I know the bracket has it listed as rounds, but feel free to duel each player whenever you feel like it and in any order for this part of the Tournament.

We now have 11 duelists signed up (while we know of 16 members of Kametsu who have accounts). Lets see if we can get some more duelists involved. I'd kind of like to see Apollo and Renzourin at least join in on the fun. Ask around if anyone else may play Yu-Gi-Oh! and see if they'd be interested in joining the Tournament. The more contestants the more of a competition this will seem.
