  1. OK, so admittedly I had a few setbacks on Mushishi The Next Chapter, but I expect start releasing it in the next few days. Around the first 10-12 episodes at first.

      Good and thank you

  2. The Raspberry Pi 3 can play 10-bit 720p if software decoding is forced. This changes everything :)

It's also unstable. Brother got it to play Hi10 and couldn't pause the video or skip back or ahead.

I'm running OSMC on it, and it plays 10-bit perfectly in 720p. I can pause and skip and all that. I'm running it on a charger with enough amps.

  3. Regardless of which side of US politics you stand on, Net Neutrality will likely be gone pretty soon (almost certainly). So I'd say archive what you can ASAP.

Heh. When it comes right down to it, the CUSTOMER has the power. Not the company. What if, by some chance, people started dropping ISPs for refusing to support Net Neutrality? These companies do not want to lose any of their customers for any reason because that cuts into their profits, and little by little it'll start to cut deep. I recognize ISPs usually have more than one income stream but by far their customers make up a large portion of it. They'll get the message soon enough.

The power of the people on this matter has always proven resilient. I believe it will be the same here. Powerful organizations have backed it before, and I have no doubt they will continue to back it in the face of this government. I'm not talking JUST about the nonprofits like Mozilla and the EFF, some of the very companies that run our internet backbone have refused to back down from supporting these rules, and I imagine they will do all they can to defy any attempt to undermine them.

Also to say this real quick, not EVERY ISP in this country is against Net Neutrality. Even some of the slightly lesser known ones support it. Only the big conglomerates like Comcast and Verizon don't.

And I think you're way, WAY overreacting here. This whole "archive everything you can" bit is unnecessary. As bad as you try and make that sound, it's far from the truth. The only thing these companies are bitching about is the manner in which these rules were implemented. Not the rules themselves. Which of course is its own argument because the courts ruled that was the only way the FCC could legally enforce such regulations, ironically after Verizon filed a lawsuit challenging the prior attempt to implement them.

Yeah, not that I'm panicking, but better safe than sorry. Prepare for the worst, lol.

And word is that a lot of rights the FCC has will be stripped and given to the FTC.

  4. Mushishi Zoku Shou (The Next Chapter) BD encodes coming along smoothly. My own encodes with retimed Vivid subs and I'm making the jump to FLAC for the 1080p's since that seems to be the standard now. It's such a beautiful series. Thinking about redoing my releases of the first season, as well.

Ooo, nice! I actually have your season 1 subs remuxed with bxyh's release as my personal S1 copy. Your original release seemed to crop out some of the video. Glad to know your working on S2 though. Good stuff.

  5. Attack on Titan season 2 trailer is out! So excited.

Not excited for LotGH remake in 2017?

  6. Pardon resurrecting a dead thread, but would you still be interested in Mushishi season 2 BD encodes? I actually had a few episodes done months ago but lost them to a hard drive crash, and then I saw your request about it on Search. It's a series I'd most definitely be willing to put the time into (subtitles had to be slightly retimed from Vivid's release between commercial break sections).
  7. Too many good encoders here now. What's left for me to encode? Haha

^Which projects? My first thing I've got is the Mushishi season 2 BDrips. It deserves a BD subbed release for sure. Then I'm out of anything to encode and can help out a bit.

Well I've got Black Lagoon franchise, Hellsing Ultimate, Eureka Seven AO, Ajin, Blade & Soul, the entire Durarara franchise, Blade, Ga-Rei Zero, Grimgar, BTOOOM!, Kemono no Souja Erin, Library War, No.6, Planetarian, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, and .hack//ROOTS dual-audio HDTV. I also need to finish up the 720p resolution for Psycho-Pass 1 & 2. Some of the other projects I had to do I've passed on to others like Akame ga Kill, DanMachi, and Seraph. xD But yeah it's a lot more than I think I'll ever get finished and there are others I'd be interested in doing if I ever got my list down that my projects drive wasn't so full. I mostly archive 1080p x264 10-bit with FLAC audio, but I tend to offer 720p x264 10-bit AAC alternatives for others on most of the stuff I've done. Anyways I've finished off quite a few projects this last month. Shoot I think it might even be like what, 4 shows this week?

I like that list. I'd be interested in helping out with Black Lagoon, Hellsing Ultimate, and Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, preferably starting with the easiest (shortest) ones.

  8. Can anyone comment on the quality of Death Note's Blu-Ray? Apparently the English one Viz released was actually decent, and the Japanese one was a terrible upscale.

Nah. It doesn't really seem worth it. I got other projects in the works.

Fair game :) excited to see whatever it is you're working on anyways!

  9. Yeah. The peace is broken, and it's the same story all over again. At least that's the worst case scenario for a new show, imo. Not to say it can't be done well, I'm just not too optimistic. Although I must say the idea that Lelouch failed to bring peace could work well. The entire world would hate him (well... even more), and he'd have to deal with what he did and that it changed nothing. Could be interesting. Hmm.. and then there's the issue of the Geass powers and how the world deals with them.
  10. I'm not entirely sure how this is going to work out without retreading old ground. The way I see it, Lelouch's reign is over and it'd make no sense for him to go back to how things were before. Anything left unanswered at the end of R2 certainly wouldn't require a whole new series to explain. And seriously, "Lelouch of the Revival?" These names are getting ridiculous
  11. Not impressed with the new Berserk anime. NOT AT ALL. It's an extreme disappointment. Terrible CGI, and so much more.

  12. Does anyone have my release of Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal in 1080p? Episode 3 won't download on Mega and I don't have a backup.

  13. I'm game. The director is new to the game, so I'm hoping he take a different approach instead of a safe one. Still, mostly optimistic.
  14. I like this new theme or w/e. Very easy to keep track of my threads again :)

Carbon Red? Basically a red version of the same skin AniPas uses, only updated for IPS4.1.x =) We also have Blue and Pink options in the Theme Selection.

  15. Starting tomorrow MEGA will start deleting free accounts that have been inactive for 3 months. Not too much of an issue, just have to login to every account every once in a while (although I have quite a few).
