I know you mean well... but what I quoted sounds like one of those Facebook chain wall posts that go around. Share this "Facebook privacy post that is so legit" if you dont want Facebook to pass on or sell your 'private' information.

Onto the topic, the US just wants attention: the petition will be looked at and taken into consideration, this Fast Track, or Trade Promotion Authority and Secret Copyright Trade Deals wont happen and thus the US will look like it is listening to its people and be given high praise. 

 

This is just my personal opinion and for all I know, the above could be very real.

1st part - you're right, I should have tried to word it professionally, didn't try hard enough since I was forcing myself to post these topics. At some point I realized I sounded like a FB chain post but I did it anyway.

2nd part - That's...optimistic I guess. Doesn't work for me, very pessimistic and cynical.

 

Almost didn't want to post this but I then I thought of the anime that never gets licensed for stream (certain moe/loli/ecchi things plus their BD/dvd/uncensored versions) which I don't want to lose access to.

 

Only if I was in NYC then I could have participated in the TPP protest.
