Alice
Its much harder to render a real person and do a real person sig...but here I go. I actually made my own background for him instead of using a pre-made background....an d even have like ten different layers. I don't think I have ever used so many layers. Only used to effect on this one. Usually I use only a few layer and a lot of effects. Usually I use only a few layer and a lot of effects. Really? Usually any signature I make has between 30-50 layers. Do you just put a lot on each layer or not really do a lot of stuff? I usually put each different thing on it's own layer unless I felt it belonged together to accomplish the effect I wanted that layer to give. For example, my fill pattern would be on one, my stock on another, my initial background on another, my border on another... so basically before I even begin work creating the actual signature I've already got 4-5 layers initially. Though tbh I haven't made any new signatures in several years just because I don't have the inspiration or time to really work on them. Typically spent an hour or so per signature creating different textures, effects, and making my own brushes for the job.

I did this time too...but don't remember how many times. I do a lot of things to each layer before I finish. I do take a minimum of an hour on each I do. Mainly because I always end up changing my mind. Also I have a much different process from you. I start from my stock render and build upon that. Also as I stated before, I always edit each layer several times before I am finished with it. Edited September 23, 2014 by Athena
