  1. It depends on my mood, but it's mostly either high enjoyability or to be good at what it does in its respective genre. And I would also add points if the anime has actually an good ending to its seasons and a somewhat good pacing.
  2. I finished Suikoden III manga not too long ago. It was a really good read. But now I don't feel like playing the game lol.
  3. I would LOVE a Final Fantasy Tactics anime, with the same art style of the animated sequences in War of the Lions port.
  4. Starting Assassin's Creed 2. After that it's probably gonna be Nier, Dragon Age or Tales of Graces f.
  5. I would recommend the Infinity series (primairly Ever17 and Remember11). I recently finished Umineko and I also loved the hell out of it. I'm gonna start Rewrite pretty soon too. Heard good things about it too.
  6. I think my favorite are always of the newest FF I play. Recently though it is more of FFXII casts. I LOVE Doctor Cid, Gabranth, Balthier, Al-Cid, Vossler, Reddas and Ashe. And yeah, I'm a sucker for badass characters.
  7. There is also Texhnolyze (kind of disturbing sometimes), Requiem from the darkness, Ergo Proxy, Himitsu the Revelation, Le Chevalier d'Eon, Real Drive and Bokurano. But yeah everything that is Urobuchi feet the criteria pretty well.
  8. I would recommand the Hyperion series if you liked the Xenosaga series. And I think it kind of aged well enough too.
  9. I remember having good times with FFVIII as a kid, but now as an adult, I certainly can't look at it the same way. While it is still league better than FFXIII, we can clearly see seeds of the downfall of FFXIII in FFVIII (and also FFX). While FFVIII had some freedom, it certainly didn't have lots of optional content, and at the end game it was totally non-existent (kind of the opposite of FFXIII if you think about it lol). The game also had contrived and non sensical plot elements like FFXIII and characters at thie point were beginning to resemble more like archetype than normal human beings. Still, for a good hollywood-like cinematic RPG with totally ridiculous production value, the game sure has its place in FF history.
  10. Cheesy-ness of the story and characters aside, I think FFX-2 could have been the next "FFV" in its time if it wasn't in the same world as FFX but as a stand alone. Nobody can argue the fact that the battle-system, job system, massive amount of content, replay-value and freedom is top-notch. To be truly frank, I would have liked Square Enix replacing FFXI with FFX-2 (and making the MMO as a spin off series, something like FF Online 1, etc.) and making the world of FFX-2 totally original but keeping of course all the gameplay elements.
  11. I pretty much love all the classic FF (more the snes than the nes ones of course) but if I ever want to replay one, it would be for different reasons : FF IV for its simplicity, nostalgia, classic feel in both story and characters, FFV for its complexity, massive amount of content (for its time at least) and awesome gameplay, FFVI for its story and characters. Really all three are great but I voted FFV for the poll.
  12. I also don't think there is an overrated final fantasy game. Each game in its time did something great (except XIII IMO) and each deserve some kind of praise. Still sometimes I would want people to realise that FFVI fall short in gameplay department compared to FFV greatness, that FFVIII's story doesn't make much sense, that FFXII pacing doesn't make its story bad (but bland and notthat exciting I could agree), etc.
  13. I was maybe 5 years old when we first had a super nintendo with Final Fantasy II (IV) coming along with it and a bunch of other games. I watched my brother playing most of the time at that age but then it wasn't before I started playing too.
  14. My favorites: Baccano Basilisk Code Geass Cow-Boy Bebop Dennou Coil Eureka Seven Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Gankutsuou GTO Kids on the Slope Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Neon Genesis Evangelion Planetes Samurai Champloo Slayers Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann The Ping Pong Club Trigun Welcome to the NHK There are also a whole lot more that are definitely worth a watch but it would be too long to post them lol.
  15. Finished Virtue's Last Reward recently. It's such a shame the the big fans of Ever17 is hating the game since the story isn't really all that bad. I'm really looking foward to the third game.
