  1. Hanasaku Iroha - from the same studio that made Moe no Asukara Mawaru Penguindrum - for something a bit different. Ano Natsu - You have some school anime in your MAL, so I'll suggest that.
  2. Hi, So there's a literature section, a graphics section, but what about a music & video section for people to share their own sound/motion media creations? Is there any interest from other users?
  3. It also depends on people's definitions of bloated. @LL, I won't be uploading too many 720p series soon (due to bandwith issues), but I've uploaded some pokemon movies here
  4. My Favourite off the top of my head are Bakemonogatari and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (S1) OSTS, both composed by Kousaki Satoru ( yay! ლ(^◡^ლ) ). Angel beats OST was alright. I heard Chihayafuru OST was good too, but i haven't watched the anime or heard the OST yet.
  5. Isn't it sorta usual to have a half-closure of anime like in FMP and BGHK to leave some imagination/open-endedness up to the user (and be lazy in the process)?
  6. Hmm, a variety of reasons. First of all, scary animes really ain't my thing. I'm in one IRC # where they like that kinda stuff, they said "go watch gosick" so I did, they're also suggesting Mirai Nikki, which I downloaded but haven't watched. Another one is raw-sources. At the time, I couldn't find 720p that were averaging 325mb for the video track only. So next best, I tried to find 1080p sources which were around 1GB with no OC. I found Kuro-raws, which i reencoded a few eps down to 350mb with audio, and then he gave up releasing gosick, and I did so, too. Didn't find any sensible filesizes shortly after that. When I reencode anime, i want to be completely consistent about my sources.
  7. Previous links to fileserve are usually dead, but I have found a few that were, suprisingly, alive. (of anime uploaded a while ago)
  8. I reinstall the OS every few years, but that's usually only when something goes seriously wrong. The next reinstall I do will probably be W7 64bit (the latest version of AFX doesn't support 32bit)
  9. Why dontu just use AnyDVD HD (software)?
  10. I got like 10-15GB of stuff pulled from MU, not that it was legal. Will take a few months to reupload it due to bandwidth & coordination issues. If you really want to get your legit files back, try to file a claim with the EFF. http://www.megaretrieval.com/ https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2012/01/eff-requests-information-innocent-megaupload-users
  11. Why don't you use a dedicated mirroring service such as embedupload.com , mirrorcreator , or the like?
  12. I use DVDshrink because it allows you to losslessly trim blank/unneeded sections on a DVD. I also use DVDDEcryptor, easy operation, with advanced features. Its also good for batch demuxing by chapter (useful for Music DVDs)
  13. I use pidgin. Requires a bit of setup as all programs do, but in the end it's quite nice because it does IRC, MSN, FB chat (with plugin), and a few other protocols too. Only thing its missing is fserve and XDCC resume support, (which i use mirc UPP for). It also colours nicks on IRC.
  14. A few things, neroAAC was good a few years ago. Now, q(t)AAC is better. EAC3TO can convert DTSHD & THD to FLAC correctly assuming you have FFDSHOWA & ARCSOFT DTS DECODER installed. About hardware encoders, On the NVIdia side, they usually can't stand up to the quality produced by good software encoders, but if you use software decoding of H264 or w/e, should be fine ATI side, there might be a OPENCL based H264 encoder, but haven't done many tests on it, iirc. And I use MeGUI.
  15. I have 2 WD greens for a total of 3.2TB space. I'm doing fine, although running a bit short on space.
