  1. No problem. Folk that keen for downloads can do some easy (Google) searching for Torrents or the multitude of Just-Signup-And-Never-Post direct-download forums (via File Storage hosts ala MegaUpload/etc) if they cared that much to avoid putting in some effort via posting a few interesting things. I myself haven't downloaded a single thing thanks to that area of this site...so would never have made a difference to me. A nice side-bonus, but far from the reason I signed up and made a small amount of effort to form a 'sentence or two here and there. Blatant leachers' serve little purpose, so no worry necessary.
  2. I've only completed about a third of my short story but haven't given up yet; still got two weeks left so I'm still in the game. Barring too much procrastinating I should be able to make it. I probably won't get it posted until the day before the deadline though, knowing me. Even so, by my standards it'll be pretty rushed. >_>
  3. Seen this before, but it's still excellent stuff. >_> I can recall many Epic occurrences of number 22, haha.
  4. ^ If only it were that simple. >_< I'm sure there are some gems out there where such is the case...but I've just never met any. I have always been a big fan of mythology though!
  5. Not as such, although last year we went on a four-day camping/fishing/boozing trip which was pretty bloody epic and I'm hoping we can do the same this year to make it a sort of tradition. Sadly one of the party is no longer with us, but it would be a good way to honour the guy since he loved and lived fishing/boozing. I doubt it will happen though as a good mate of mine now has a baby//leash and another one is just generally-leashed, so I guess I won't be going anywhere this Christmas. Suits me well enough.
  6. Hurt Vandal Hearts for 50. Heal Suikoden for 25. The Battlefield: [10] Suikoden - 150 Final Fantasy - 50 Wild ARMS - 100 Tales of... - 125 Fire Emblem - 125 Vandal Hearts - 50 Lunar - 100 Breath of Fire - 100 Disgaea - 0 [1] Shining... - 100 The Graveyard: [empty] Comments: The next poster has the last chance to save the Disgaea series, and if they choose not to it will belong in the Graveyard with its fellow undead. Arg, tough choice hurting Vandal Hearts since they are some of my favourite TRPGs...but between that and Shining Force/etc, Vandal Hearts had to take the damage. Sorry, old friend.
  7. 1. Hmm, this can actually be tricky. What if she asks an opinion on her new outfit that you think looks ridiculous? And what if 28 applied? Not the fairest examples but if it spares her feelings, lying is okay? Ahh, but what if some prick tried to use that to justify cheating on a lass and never confessing, to spare her feelings... Tricky indeed! Not that any of that would ever apply to me, since I'm a man of honour. 2. Not a problem. 3. I understand. I mean, understood! 4. Yes they are pretty. 5. Actually as a Printer by trade, I do have Pantone Matching Systems, which are otherwise known as colour-books, which are used for mixing colours. Say for example a colour might need *0.5% Black, 49.5% Rubine Red and the other 50% Transparent White! 6. As a fulltime Smartass, I am very fluent with sweet-talk to get myself out of trouble, but I am also skilled in providing gift-forgivenesses (meaning I may stash away some for 'emergencies') especially for occasions where I may have accidentally broken something important to her... And when all else fails, the patented "I...I...I'll...take you shopping" card! 7. All I would ever say is that I have giant feet and the shoes to prove it. 8. Surprisingly rare for me most of my life. Never a problem during school-days that I can remember, so I guess I was lucky, especially given my sweet-tooth. Not that I've ever been one to give a damn what another person thought of me. 9. I actually am 6"4. I suppose I don't act like it when I'm sitting down. 10. My rear-speakers don't work and my car is an old dinosaur. See the end of number 8. 11. Well said. 12. I'll admit it. I'm always very upset when my drink is nearly empty. But then I go to the fridge and grab 'another. 13. I'm sorry? 14. I never need to plan a practical joke. The hilarity can and will happen at any time. 15. Happy to deliver compliments at any time. These however often come with (playful) smartass remarks. Wouldn't want a robot//male. 16. This is excellent for poking fun, even if it provokes girlish tackles. 17. In Australia, a good 'flanno is good fashion, mate. 18. All things being equal, it goes both ways. Actually, no it doesn't. >_@ 19. Too easy. I didn't see booze or Hold'em! 20. But but but what if she is sick and has a cold?! Unclean, unclean! >_< 21. Double-standards re: number 23? 22. Wanna bet? 23. If she were special to me, I wouldn't care too such...but I'd never do so to impress someone, especially work-related. 24. Ahh, as a Modern Drunkard, they tend to take pride in the former, but I'll give you the latter. Easy to be a ninja about it. 25. Never a problem. 26. Too classy for that. 27. If it pleases her, can't do any harm, but I'd stick by that she'd never need to do so to impress me. 28. Too easy. 29. Not a prick, and the only person I'd want to hassle would be her. 30. Hahaha! * This colour might not actually exist.
  8. @ lemmingllama: I can't take credit for its creation, merely sharing it, as the person did before me (not knowing himself who made the list). As for the apparent error, it was referring to the fact that a bloke must be a 'father' figure of sorts (daddy-issues? Sounds a bit off to me) and a 'good father' referring to any kids they might have.
  9. Other side of the world//hemisphere. Getting to be quite the hot bastard here. In saying that though these last couple of days were surprisingly cool in my area...but I guess that is spring for you. We get a pretty crazy mix of swelchers and cool ones. Summer is less than two weeks away for us here in Australia though so again the brief bit of cold on its cusp is pretty weird. >_@ Bart Simpson: What the hell is the "Southern" "hemisphere"?!
  10. I've still got to wait for one more person to post, but 'Tales of...' refers to the entire Tales of series, from the original Tales of Phantasia on the SNES to the first PSX title (Tales of Destiny) and beyond to newer titles like Tales of Vesperia. Quite a big series. Disgaea is indeed in trouble unless a ton of fans try to save it. >_> Thanks for playing. We can waive that little rule if it turns out not many folk care for Hurt and Heal.
  11. Good stuff. It only came on Foxtel in Australia a couple of months back. Always several+ months behind the US. >_@ I usually just download stuff if I don't want to wait so long, but I'm not too fussed. Season 4 of True Blood only ended a few weeks back if I recall which I was able to wait for (mostly because I wanted to re-watch season 3 on Blu-ray). Anyhow, I suppose it's 'safer' for them to make short seasons these days...but 10 episodes is a tad cheap. At least with True Blood's 12 they are much longer than average episodes. Short-and-sweet is just an excuse; they just fear a 22-episode show will get axed too easily. More chances for low ratings? Can't really complain if it works out for them though, and in this case we'll get more Falling Skies.
  12. I didn't think too highly of the first episode, but I suppose that was because I watched the SD version of it. I find it very hard to get into non-HD shows these days. That was only because I missed it on the HD channel and it was Free On Demand in SD. I watched the rest of the series in ace quality though, and the show definitely got better in later episodes. The ending seemed a bit abrupt, but I guess these days no one wants to invest in a long series. Guessing by the way it ended there might be a second season? No idea how it went ratings-wise overall though.
  13. @ seirachan: Pretty good points, but I'm sure those types do indeed play 'games', just not of the console/PC variety, eh? >_> Funny how like-minded individuals rarely seem to meet in the real-world compared to online, when it comes to gaming/anime and such. @ Talena: I've often been told I have a very 'dry' sense of humour too. Perhaps it's an Aussie thing? Which of course makes it a compliment. It's also difficult as a result to tell if I'm being sarcastic or not. I think a person can grow up without losing their fun side. For me, to lose that would be like giving up gaming just because I'm older. Anyway, you'll be sure to make someone happy if you're a lot more easy-going than the stereo-type made fun of in my first post, haha.
  14. Cheers for that, Koby. It can be hard to find a clear answer sometimes, especially when there are any OVAs/specials and such that not everyone knows about or considers. Had a very hard time when it came to the Dragon Ball Z movies and for Naruto as well. >_> Even if they don't directly relate to the story, there can still be spoilers and such if you watch a certain something too soon.
  15. How It Works: When a new games begins, every participant gets two 'Hurts', and one 'Heal'. From the selection of the theme/characters/locations/games provided, you can choose two characters/locations/etc to hurt and one to heal. Each location/character/etc starts with 100 points of health/endurance. For every Heal, add 25 points to their score. For every Hurt, take away 50. (Which counts as two Hurts, obviously; you can also hurt two different options for 25 each). Just make sure that for each time you hurt or heal, you put the amount you're hurting and healing in color tags, red for hurt and blue for heal, which makes it much easier for people to tell which characters you're hurting or healing. Such are the common groundrules for the ever-popular hurt and heal forum game. Once a character is knocked down to Zero HP, they receive a counter next to their name, like this: Midgard 0 [3] For each turn passed, the countdown should go down, regardless of which characters are hurt or healed. The character can only be revived for those three turns, where they will gain 25 HP regardless of where the counter was when revived. After three turns, the counter hits zero and the character is moved into the graveyard and cannot be revived. After one character is declared victor by being the last remaining, the next person who wants to can put up a new set of selections, be they game characters, anime shows, RPGs, locations/etc, and the game shall begin all over again. To maintain fairness, after each time you post, you must wait for two people to post before you can post in the game again. Also, if you are going to use characters/locations from several different games all in one go, try and make them either well-known/popular or stick to one game/theme at a time. As this site is an RPG and Anime haven, I'll get the ball rolling with a Hurt and Heal game aimed towards a few popular RPG series'. You'll see I healed Suikoden (for +25HP) and hurt Disgaea (for -50HP). There can be some tough choices in this game as I love them all. Simply copy-and-paste the below into your post and make your changes! The Battlefield: [10] Suikoden - 125 Final Fantasy - 100 Wild ARMS - 100 Tales of... - 100 Fire Emblem - 100 Vandal Hearts - 100 Lunar - 100 Breath of Fire - 100 Disgaea - 50 Shining... - 100 The Graveyard: [Empty] Keep in mind, once a character/etc is reduced to Zero HP, they are not moved to the Graveyard until three more people have posted and chosen not to Revive them, hence the [3] countdown.
