  1. It is entirely likely, although there's been nothing really mentioned. After all, despite the fan-rage over the Endless Eight, they still bought all the DVDs of the second season, even those DVDs that only contained episodes from the Endless Eight run.
  2. Uhhh.... Ranma's been dubbed. It's been licensed and localized since the early days of the American Anime Boom. It was licensed by Viz Media, which gave it a relatively ok dub from Ocean. The earlier seasons have Ranma's male and female halves with the same voice actress (I think), which works but feels rather... meh. Later episodes have Richard Ian Cox, aka Inuyasha (or Bit Cloud or Allelujah Haptism or...), dubbing male Ranma which works far better. I'm shocked it took so long for someone to mention Tenchi Muyo, but the TV series (Tenchi Universe, aka Tenchi TV) was far better executed in terms of the Harem-y antics. Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure also has a slow start, but the dub is top-notch outside of a few awkward translation choices (Genebu being used to make sense of the Japanese pronounciation of "Zinv", mainly) does prevent it from being a perfect work. Still, fun show. You can also try to count one of the versions of Neon Genesis Evangelion, if you really stretch definitions.
  3. Oh, easily. Voices of a Distant Star.
  4. Well, considering the series only covers the first 3 of 9 light novels, the plot in general is still only building up. There's a movie that covers the entire events of the fourth book, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, but that's still just something of a plot buildup. It's gonna take a damned long time for the series to get to a point where it seems like you'll be satisfied. Although the Endless Eight certainly didn't help. Besides, if you watch the episodes in the less confusing order, it makes it pretty plain that character relations are being established and Haruhi's being pretty sweet on Kyon.
  5. My first one was Akira, which I saw when I was but 8 years old back when the Sci-Fi Channel (long before they took the name SyFy) was showing Saturday Morning Anime. It was... outright bizarre, because it was almost entirely uncut, safe a few scenes of blurred nudity. The fact that the most violent thing I'd seen before was Batman: The Animated Series had something to do with this as well.
  6. Redline. Just... Redline. If you've not seen it, you're missing out on some of the best animation since Akira.
  7. The amusing thing is that the Ocean Dub only ended in America. Canada and the UK still got the Ocean dub, where voice actors got swapped out so often that Goku had another two or three voice actors. The big thing about "remastering" though is that the work in question is often digitally polished up, mainly for a higher definition release than what the work was originally intended for. Sometimes, though, other changes will be made. These changes can be relatively minor, like changing the music or replacing sound effects with ones that aren't as "goofy" or perhaps are more fitting for the scene in general. If you have someone like George Lucas at the helm, you can easily wind up with an entirely different product. And it's not just in America where that happens. From the sound of things, Gundam Seed is being almost completely re-worked for a high-definition version. New animation, new music and a lack of clip episodes are the things being touted... ...but time only will tell if it actually is going to be applied, considering the director's track record with budgeting.
